Perfectly nestled within 25 lush acres of Devon farmland, and close to the charming village of Sheepwash in the Torridge Valley, this Grade II listed house is infused with history, originally dating back to the 1600s. Still retaining its original charm and character, it’s easy to imagine the lives lived here in more refreshing times past.

Enjoy spending time with the owner’s friendly sheep, goats and llamas throughout your stay… you may hear them chattering away, along with plenty of joyous birdsong, as you sit out in your private garden with the occasional glass of wine!

You’ll feel just as relaxed inside the farmhouse, with original features that include authentic wooden beams and an inglenook fireplace. The warming woodburning stove is an ideal huddle-setting for conversation-filled evenings following bracing country walks and a hearty meal!

The Long House even has its very own grass airstrip, so why not treat yourselves by bringing a helicopter or small plane instead of the car?

For those who prefer indulgent strolls, Sheepwash Village, in the heart of Ruby Trail walking country, is less than a mile away, with the sparkling River Torridge running alongside your route – ideal for a quiet spot of trout fishing on the banks.

Slightly further afield, you’ll find the historic market town of Great Torrington, together with an array of attractions to be found in the larger, bustling Bedford and Barnstaple. Beach lovers will adore the breathtaking North Devon beaches, complete with miles of golden sand and fresh, rolling waves just waiting to be ridden.
