A refreshingly rustic hand-built wooden cabin ideal for relaxation and adventure, perfectly positioned within the South Downs National Park.

Coppicer's Cabin is no ordinary outdoor hideaway. This blissfully private and seriously stylish canvas-roofed cabin comes fully equipped with everything you need to enjoy a restful stay, all surrounded by acres of ancient woodland set high above the banks of the River Rother.

Lovingly hand-built, and inspired by the site's real-life coppicer Fred, Coppicer's Cabin sleeps up to six people, with pets welcome. A true hidden sanctuary that features a keen sense of adventure, where cosy luxury is the order of the day; plenty of soft textiles, down duvets and huge pillows throughout.

An equipped veranda kitchen houses a two-burner gas hob, and you'll also find a bonfire area (perfect for marshmallow toasting) with a tripod cooking system for sizzling al fresco dining. You'll also find your own privy and a woodland shower with plenty of lovely hot water. Staying cosy throughout your stay is no problem at all, with a French cylindrical wood burner - fully stocked with plenty of wood - that can stay heated all night long.

You'll soon discover that snoozing arrangements are as versatile as the cabin itself. The cosy double bed is perfect for those who prefer a more traditional sleep area, which also includes two camp beds for children. Those seeking a little extra adventure will love the sleeping platform right underneath the canvas roof, accessed by climbing a tree instead of a ladder! There are two single futons on the upper deck.

Once you're settled in, why not set about exploring the local area - and maybe learning a new skill in the process? Bushcraft sessions with professional instructors are available on site, along with plant and tree identification walks, spoon carving, fire masterclasses and even bread baking. Catch-and-release flyfishing can also be arranged on the River Rother.

Kids (big kids included!) will love the many activities to be found on site, including a rope swing, zip wire and tennis. Let your imagination run wild and build a den, or why not pack a picnic and enjoy it by the rushing river?

There are plenty of pubs within walking distance, with more activities nearby that include boating, polo, museums and gardens. West Wittering beach is 45 minutes away by car, for those who fancy a day out with ice cream and fish and chips!

Whether you prefer relaxation or adventure, for a truly great holiday in the Great Outdoors, head to the Coppicer's Cabin and feel refreshed and revived in no time at all.
