A royal-style country manor for group breaks that demand something extra-special, set within a 400-acre Scottish castle estate that forms the ‘Gateway to the Glen'.
  • Sleeps: 12
  • Bedrooms: 6
  • Bathrooms: 6
  • Minimum stay: 2 nights

Inviting your favourite people to join you for a break at a Scottish country estate is sure to make you feel like royalty before you’ve even arrived.

Happily, Fettercairn Stables and Estate more than meets such grand expectations!

A luxuriously converted stable with its very own courtyard and water feature, the sumptuous retreat is set within the 400-acre Fasque Castle Estate by the ancient village of Fettercairn… where you’ll discover a Royal Arch that commemorates Queen Victoria’s preferred route to Balmoral.

Sleeping up to twelve guests and their two well-behaved dogs, there’s plenty to keep everybody both enthralled and occupied. Even the lobby boasts magnificent views over the courtyard, while big and little kids alike will love the fun games room, complete with board games and a console!

Oh, and if you think you’ve spotted the huge, gleaming kitchen somewhere before, you could be right, since it was once featured on The Great Food Guys TV show. With two islands, an electric AGA, and sparkly glamorous worktops, be warned: there could be heated arguments about who gets to cook.

Enjoy those celebratory banquets in the formal dining room, or if the sun’s out, head to the patio for an informal barbecue instead. The estate is known for its wildlife, so you may catch a glimpse of a soaring eagle, or a cheeky red squirrel! Keep an eye out for the resident peacock who roams the grounds, too.

(Oh – and banquet-wise, feel free to indulge as much as you like… safe in the knowledge that the ground-floor gym will help you work off all those calories later on!)
