Escape to the unique peace and beauty of West Wales, on a friendly family farm that's home to cosy yurts...and a train carriage!

You might have guessed that The Yurt Farm is home to a selection of yurts. Four beautiful, oak-framed yurts to be exact, each one perfect for getting back to nature in tranquil comfort.

You might not have guessed, however, that there are plenty more delights to be discovered down on this particular family-run farm!

For starters, there are 150 acres of unspoilt Welsh farmland to explore, including footpaths, magical woodland trails, and a stream bordered by bluebells. A friendly working farm, you can also meet the resident animals, pick some fruit, and collect fresh eggs for your breakfast.

You'll find the yurts themselves in an enchanting wildflower meadow, equipped with wooden floors, fresh flowers, cosy kingsize beds and Welsh woollen blankets. Choose from Nuthatch and Siskin Yurts, which sleep up to five guests, Red Kite Yurt for six, or Cuckoo Yurts which house up to seven.

Of course, you could always step aboard the Train Carriage instead. Lovingly crafted by the family themselves, this is a perfect, fully insulated hideaway for a small family (there's a raised bed for the grown-ups with sleeping space for the kids underneath that will feel like a fun adventure in itself!). Sit around the wood-burning stove and catch up, or simply gaze out towards the Cambrian Mountains with a steaming mug of coffee.

Whichever haven you choose, you'll have your very own campfire and picnic that's sizzling al fresco suppers, sunset-watching and stargazing all covered. Kitchen facilities are provided too, so you can pack perfectly light.

Freshen up in the communal solar showers - and there's also a pristine composting toilet hut, built from farm-sourced green oak.

With everything covered, it's time to explore! Let the kids' imaginations run wild in the yurt meadow, den building, making sandcastles, or playing on the rope swing.

Head for the cabin instead, if you're in the mood for some much-needed chillout time. Here you'll find games, books, a cosy sofa and a wood-burning a pizza oven and a communal kitchen, for casual evenings breaking bread with new friends.

Prefer heading off into the local area? No problem. Keen walkers will love pounding the Cambrian Mountains trails, and there are a myriad of pretty country lanes to cycle through.

Head for nearby Cardigan Bay for a spot of dolphin-watching...or simply wander up the road to the local gastro pub!

However you decide to spend your time, you'll be completely surrounded by birdsong, pure air, green fields, and warm Welsh hospitality that's sure to fill your hearts with joy.
