Perfectly built for two, the well-insulated hut is wonderfully free of digital distractions and styled with stunning simplicity. Candles, solar lamps and a gas fire cast a romantic glow by evening, while the downy double bed will ensure you get a restful night's sleep under the twinkling stars!
Natural wood and soft, neutral-toned décor will soothe your senses, and you'll find plenty of shelves, storage space and seating to ensure that however you decide to while away your holiday hours, you'll be perfectly comfortable.
Discover a luxurious WC and shower room just a short stroll away, found in the imposing Abbey Hall. Here you'll find a kettle, toaster and hot plate - along with plenty of coffee, tea and tasty biscuits - to make holiday snacking nice and easy. If you really must, you can also connect to WiFi here, maybe to update Instagram with some amazing location pics!
Take your coffee back to the hut and enjoy it al fresco style on sunny mornings, with a bistro-style table and chairs set up outside for you to enjoy gazing over fresh acres of green fields. Or how about an evening bottle of wine and cosy conversation, as you watch a blazing golden sunset and listen to the soft sound of owls hooting?
You'll soon find that the Abbey Shepherd's Hut is in a very special location, with so much to see and do all around you. It probably goes without saying (though we'll say it anyway!) that this amazing area is perfect for walking, cycling and discovering.
Why not begin with a refreshing stroll into Eye, a beautiful town you can reach within ten minutes, and where you'll find a country pub, plenty of antique shops to browse through, and even a deli... ideal for picking up a few local treats.
If you prefer travelling by car, you won't be disappointed, with Southwold, the East Coast and the Norfolk Broads all accessible in just over half an hour.
So if you're looking to bring yourselves right back to nature, but find you still can't quite abandon some of life's most essential comforts, Abbey Shepherd's Hut is the perfect place to be!

Tried and tested
"Do stay here if you are looking for a little bit of wilderness with sophistication on the side. The shepherd's hut is so relaxing, with a view across to Eye church and an amazing sunset on the night I visited. Scrunchy bed linen and candlelight... utter simplicity and romance. Just a stroll across the field is a bathroom with a powerful shower, within a beautifully renovated ancient abbey maltings. I came away feeling rested and inspired! Olivia is a very welcoming and considerate host... the booking was arranged very last minute, but everything was well organised and efficient."
