For a holiday filled with history and intrigue look no further than this charming thatched farmhouse in the heart of the Suffolk countryside.
Enjoy a quintessentially English country retreat away from the bustle, in the village of Stonham Aspal - and bring up to three beloved dogs along too! Upon first sight of Woodfarm House you'll be immediately taken with the distinctive thatched roof that evokes the idyllic, rural feel of the house perfectly. The property actually dates back to the 15th Century, and despite its 500 years of history evident in the exposed oak beams the property has all the modern conveniences and comforts that you'd expect.
The house sleeps up to seven guests comfortably, with three bedrooms and three bathrooms, including luxury 'ball and claw' footed roll-top bath tubs in two of them. The lounge area is the heart and soul of the house, and it is easy to feel relaxed on the comfortable sofa in front of the crackling open inglenook fire. Outside you'll have a kitchen garden to enjoy as well as a BBQ and plenty of walks from your front door.
Guests enjoy an appetising breakfast hamper with their booking, which includes eggs, mushrooms, bacon, tomatoes, milk and more, making it easy to feel at home quickly, and setting you up well for a day out exploring the area, including the Orwell and Stour rivers or popular areas such as Southwold along the heritage coast. If you fancy staying more local, bikes are offered free of charge so you can take them out and explore the countryside. Discounts are also offered here for couples and small groups during off-peak midweeks.
