Full description
An award-winning, architect-crafted extension to a 19th century Gothic folly, with ornate embellishments and sociable, light-filled spaces amongst tranquil Suffolk woodland.

Nestled along a private track, and secluded amongst expansive Suffolk woodland, Woodbridge Lodge cuts an immediately striking dash.

An award-winning extension to a 19th century Gothic folly, the lodge was originally designed in 1806 by the celebrated Gothic architect James Wyatt, then-president of the Royal Academy.

The exterior is suitably jaw-dropping; characterised by intricate crenellations, flying buttresses, and an exquisite central finial... you'll certainly feel as though you've just arrived somewhere seriously special!

Sleeping up to ten guests (plus with one well-behaved dog), the modern architect-designed extension features long lancet windows and a glorious glass tunnel, so you can feel truly at one with the nature that surrounds you.

Elegantly furnished throughout, you can relax and unwind in the beating heart of the lodge: the spectacular open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area, complete with magical woodland views.

The sociable wooden table at the centre is perfect for breaking bread all together, while the kitchen comes equipped with all the sleek appliances you could ask for... including a Nespresso machine to charge your mornings.

There's an additional sitting room in the original folly; ideal for those who love to escape with a good book and a glass of wine.  Simply curl up on the cosy two-seater sofa and get lost in the delicious peace and quiet.

While away sunny afternoons in the large meadow garden, strewn with whispering apple and plum trees. Bring your binoculars if you love birdwatching and wildlife-spotting, as there'll be plenty to capture your attention!

Carry on chatting until day melts into evening, and the stars begin to twinkle in the vast night sky. When it's finally time to turn in, you'll have five elegant bedrooms to choose from: two kingsize rooms, two singles, and a fun bunk room that the kids will love.

After a sound night's sleep, why not take one of many enchanting woodland walks that begin right from the door? You're also achingly close to Rendlesham Forest, set within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Here you'll find children's play areas, walking and cycling trails, a café, and fun activities that range from horse-riding to a UFO trail!

Wear yourselves out in the surrounding area, or simply stay put and immerse yourselves in the grand, historic atmosphere at Woodbridge Lodge, until it's time to take in yet another spectacular sunset.
