Full description
Lock your phone away and escape to the country, on a three-day digital detox that's carefully curated for you to rediscover the natural joys of life.

Do you wish you weren't quite so glued to your phone... yet you're unable to stop frantically checking each new notification that buzzes through?

Then maybe it's time to lock that phone away, and re-focus your attention on the simple beauty of the here and now.

That's the philosophy behind Unplugged. An especially curated, three-day digital detox in a soothing, blissfully isolated off-grid cabin that's also dog-friendly, you'll be surrounded only by ancient farmland that's teeming with wildlife.

Just an hour outside of hectic London, you'll feel as though you've been spirited miles away from anywhere in particular, as you watch wild deer grazing nearby, or test your walking boots (not to mention your dog's legs!) to destruction in the surrounding hills and forestland.

Once you arrive at the cabin, you'll be allowed to take a few final Instagram pics... before friendly owners Hector and Ben whip your phone away, and lock it up safely for the next three days!

Don't worry - you won't be left with nothing to do, although you may find you only want to gaze dreamily out of the cabin's enormous, nature-showcasing window. A digital-free welcome box will be waiting for you, packed with treats that include a Polaroid camera, a custom map for exploring, and postcards to send to loved ones.

(How about sending a postcard to yourself, in fact, to carry on reminding yourself about taking time out of the digital life once you're home again?)

You could start Day Two by making fresh coffee, or brewing a pot of loose-leaf tea, before letting yourselves loose on the local area. One tip: the nearby Axe and Compass pub serves addictively tasty dinners, and is a mere half-hour stroll away from the cabin.

Lose yourselves in a book or a board game, before enjoying a sound night's sleep... then, why not greet the sunrise with a morning yoga session?

Whatever you choose to do, you'll find the cosy cabin well-stocked with holiday essentials, including a Scandi Superloo, and basic cooking equipment. You'll also enjoy more than a few touches of comfort, with a gorgeous rainfall shower, and soft, fluffy towels to wrap yourselves in.

Oh, and with the retro addition of cassette tapes, you'll have plenty of music to help you set the perfect background mood (or just dance around the cabin without a care in the world!)

A three-day digital detox may seem like a challenge at first. But we're willing to bet you'll love immersing yourselves in the simplicity of nature and now-ness so much, that it won't be your last.

Things to note

Well-behaved dogs are permitted... just as long as you take some cute photos before your phone is locked away!

Tried and tested

"During the stay, we noticed that time slowed down. We started to spend time to do things, such as hand-grinding coffee beans, waiting for coffee to brew, and slow cooking a delicious one-pot meal. And this ‘slowness' made us appreciate the experience more. In a world of chasing efficiency and productivity, this without the distraction of the technology, our senses really opened up and started to fully take the experience from various dimensions."

"Cooking dinner together and playing card games in the evening without the distraction of phones and internet gave us the chance to really chat, both reliving our wildlife experiences from earlier in the day (hares and deer being a particular highlight) and discussing life in a broader sense. We talked about moments that stood out for us both from the past year, things we were grateful for and mapped out some plans going forward. Without external interruption our attention was on the conversation and it just flowed in a way that is increasingly hard to otherwise."
