Twentysix Anderby Creek
Twentysix - a small but perfectly formed seaside retreat lovingly restored by contemporary design, tucked cosily away by the soft sands of tranquil Anderby Creek.
Twentysix is an 'Anderby Chalet' - an original timber-framed Modernist classic, first launched by Vic Hallam in 1959. A stay here takes the traditional English beach holiday to a blissful new level, for couples and small groups - including the dog - who do like to be beside the seaside!
The property has been transformed in recent years under the expert guidance of an award-winning architect, and is now owned by previous guests who fell head-over-heels in love with this seaside sanctuary.
Exceptionally comfortable and stylish with a retro Scandinavian vibe and a calming touch of ‘Hygge', it's the perfect setting for a bracing break filled with fresh sea air, with tranquility and comfort built right in.
Featuring two beautiful bedrooms, Twentysix sleeps up to five people, though it's also an ideal romantic retreat for couples. A private driveway and a charming garden that features stunning lakeside views awaits you as you arrive, leading you inside to a bright, open-plan living space where a welcome pack filled with local goodies will be waiting for you.
Discover a cosy seating area at one end, complete with a wood-burning stove to snuggle up beside, and at the other a well-equipped kitchen and dining table. Sliding doors lead to a lush, secluded garden...take some time to sit out on the decking and enjoy the views in the sunshine while you feed the passing ducks and geese.
Traditional deck chairs make for an authentic seaside holiday experience, as you breathe in the sea air and feel magically relaxed and revived. Perhaps spread out the picnic blanket provided and enjoy secluded al-fresco feasts as you catch up on life over a glass or two of wine.
The master bedroom, equipped with a cosy double bed, is the perfect setting for a restful night's sleep, whilst the second bedroom contains bunk beds - the lower of which is also double sized. A luxurious shower room will wash those sandy feet clean again...after lazy days spent at the beach.
Discover the long, quiet stretch of dune-backed soft sand at Anderby Creek, voted one of Britain's top ten hidden beaches by AOL Travel, nestled between Chapel St. Leonard's and Sutton-on-Sea and featuring truly breathtaking panoramic views across the coast, all set against a big, beautiful open sky.
Choose your favourite picnic spot and take in the colourful beach huts, equipped with everything you need from your mini-cabin at Twentysix, including a windbreak, beach mat and foldaway picnic chairs. If you're feeling brave enough, maybe try a swim in the sea following your idyllic al-fresco lunch!
The Cloud Bar, at the beachfront entrance, is Britain's first cloud watching outpost... the perfect place to daydream whilst taking in the amazing panoramic views, and a favourite spot for meteorologists and the general public alike.
You'll spot plenty of wildlife during your break, with the Lincolnshire coast teeming with wild birds. A pair of binoculars is provided for you to make the most of the nature-watching opportunities all around. It is quite common to spot seals all year round in the sea from Anderby Creek, and at nearby Donna Nook during October and November visitors can view the seals that come ashore to give birth to their pups on the sandbanks.
There are plenty of places to shop, dine and be entertained nearby, with a fish and chip van on hand at weekends to curb those salty cravings and plenty of stately homes and gardens to explore.
So for a naturally refreshing break that will restore the wind in your sails, head for Twentysix at Anderby Creek...and get ready to fall in love.

Tried and tested
"A fantastic retreat from the everyday bustle of normal
life. Love the 'quiet life', everyone has, even our two boys. Everything
is covered for you in this accommodation, so well done to the owners - the
devil is in the detail! I will miss the view out onto the lake with a cup
of tea. The area around the chalet is nice and everyone says hello which makes
a change. Overall a smashing place and we all agree we shall miss it."
Mr & Mrs Aldred
"We have had a fantastic time. The cabin is beautiful,
one of the nicest places we have ever stayed in. Thank you!"
Anne-Marie, Alan & Coco the Dog
"We arrived in the pitch black to be greeted by the
East Coast's best kept secret. After unpacking we walked to the beach and gazed
at the amazing sky, full of stars, soundtracked by the gentle rumble from the
sea. No. Twentysix is a slice of perfection exceeding our expectations and we
found everything we needed on hand. A great place to unwind and channel
your inner 'hygge' we absolutely loved the silence and views. We have already
booked a return visit!"
