Tin Can Camping
England / Mundham, Norfolk
Full description
A gleaming slice of retro Americana, blissfully tucked away in a wild and wonderful woodland corner of South Norfolk.
The perfect rural base for exploring all the beauty of the Norfolk Broads (not to mention a gorgeous selection of beaches!), Tin Can Camping is a soothing woodland spot that's home to four authentic American trailers.
You'll find each trailer lovingly packed with creature comforts, from a fully-equipped kitchen and a delicious locally-sourced breakfast hamper, to downy bedding, soft-glowing lanterns and cosy blankets...all set amongst idyllic country scenery.
If you're planning a romantic escape, a deluxe trailer-for-two is perfect. Choose from The Bubble, a glistening 1956 Airstream with many of its original features in tact, or The Jewel, styled for an unmistakable ‘American Diner' feel that'll take you right back to 1950s Hollywood!
If you're bringing a few more guests, The Caravanner is a rare 1957 Airstream that sleeps two adults and two small children, in a warm and homely setting that includes plenty of light-flooding windows (in fact, The Caravanner is the owners' chosen van for their own family holidays!)
Finally, the largest van is the luxuriously refurbished 1976 Airstream Sovereign, sleeping two adults...plus two children, on space age-style bunk beds they'll love. Equipped with a warming wood burner, the Sovereign is available all year round, which means you'll have exclusive access to the site's indoor facilities out of season.
Speaking of the indoor facilities, you'll find a lot of thought and care have gone into making them an absolute pleasure to visit. For starters, there'll be no sense of dread as you make your way to the toilet block, with its luxury purpose-built bathrooms (one featuring a walk-in double shower).
There's also a communal kitchen in the site's converted barn, stocked with everything you'll need and much more besides...such as a fan-assisted oven, and an espresso machine to charge your mornings!
The barn is also a supreme hangout space that's ideal for making new friends, as you challenge them to a game of pool, enjoy a snack at the dining table, or just chat away on the sofas, toes warmed by toasty underfloor heating. If you're in the mood to explore, you'll also find a handy guide to the local area...
...which you're going to need, as there's so much to see and do!
The city of Norwich is a mere 20 minute drive away, while you can reach the charming Norfolk Broads market town of Loddon in five. There's also the glorious Norfolk/Suffolk coastline, if you fancy a windswept walk or a day at the beach, easily accessible in under an hour.
Spend the day exploring and indulging, safe in the knowledge that you've still got plenty to look forward to when you return to Tin Can Camping! Settle in around the evening firepit, and prepare to relax.
Things to note
No pets permitted. No smoking inside trailers. Check in from 2pm, check out is 11am.
