Featuring direct, private access to the shoreline of the Sound of Mull and Drimnin Pier, Tigh Darach is a beautiful oak-framed family house (Tigh Darach is Gaelic for ‘oak house’) designed and owned by the architect Roderick James, and his wife Amanda.

Sleeping up to six guests in four bedrooms, there’s plenty of open plan space to socialise in, from the cosily furnished living area, to the separate verandas for breakfast and cocktails!

Meanwhile, huge windows allow light to flood cheerfully inside, and there’s a crackling woodburner to warm your evenings.

Surrounded by woodland and nature, you can watch the swooping pine martens and swallows, and maybe even the occasional grazing roe deer… while the Sound of Mull plays host to seals, dolphins and eagles, in a true wildlife-watcher’s paradise.

Please note that there is a 4 night minimum stay requirement at Tigh Darach from Ist November 2023 to 31st March 2024. From 1st April 2024 on it reverts to a minimum stay of 6 nights.
