The Water Tower at Long Meadow Farm
England / Burton Green, Warwickshire
Full description
A unique, award-winning water tower conversion nestled on the edge of a tranquil Warwickshire orchard with spectacular countryside views.
Nestled at the edge of an orchard, on a Warwickshire farm surrounded by serene countryside and grazing horses, The Water Tower is the perfect place to spend some much-needed downtime.
Friendly owners Peter and Janet have lived on Long Meadow Farm for over 30 years, lovingly planting trees and creating the mature gardens that characterise their beautiful surroundings.
This level of care extends to the tower itself. Not only does the unique conversion preserve many original components, but the construction company won a Federation of Master Builders award for their amazing work.
You'll see why just as soon as you arrive. Not only is the building itself eye-catching with contemporary design features, but every last detail has been carefully thought through, including the softly illuminated entrance and parking signs that guide you in the dark.
Sleeping up to four guests, there are two delightful double ensuite bedrooms, one on the ground floor and one on the first... all but guaranteeing a sound, silent night's sleep (as well as eliminating awkward bathroom queues in the morning!)
But it's the open plan living, kitchen and dining area that promises to captivate you the most. Cleverly created from the tower's top-floor tank, and accessed by a beautiful spiral staircase, this is where you get to sit back, relax, and savour those epic views.
You'll also be surrounded by quirky original features, including a working pressure gauge, lighting and accessories creatively fashioned from piping, and the original ball valve from the water tank, skilfully upcycled as a saucepan rack!
Greeting you in the stylish, well-equipped kitchen will be a welcome pack of milk, bread, butter, and delicious honey from the on-site bees, along with sleek conveniences that include a Nespresso coffee machine.
Stretch out on the sofa and catch up with your favourite shows on the Smart TV, complete with Netflix and Amazon Prime, or rustle up a snack and gaze out at the surrounding countryside from the dining table.
There's also a private furnished patio for your first morning coffee - an ideal way to ease into the day ahead!
Spend the rest of your day exploring the local area... you're perfectly positioned for long country walks, or visiting local landmarks that include Kenilworth Castle and its Elizabethan garden. You could even jump in the car and head for Coventry or Birmingham if you're in the mood for shopping.
But if that all sounds a little too much, simply pour another glass of wine and take in some more of those beautiful orchard views.
Things to note
Check in after 4pm, check out by 11am. Pets and young children are not permitted. Please note that due to its many steps throughout, the property is not suitable for guests with additional mobility requirements.
