You simply couldn’t imagine a more beautiful location for The Sheiling (an ancient word meaning ‘shelter on high or remote ground’) than Loch Lundie.

Blissfully secluded in the Scottish Highlands, achingly close to the bustling village of Plockton yet feeling light years away from civilisation, the circular retreat is perfectly primed for a breathtakingly scenic ‘get away from it all’ escape.

Nestled on the edge of the loch and recently crowned ‘Britain’s Best Holiday Let’ by expert judges at The Times , The Sheiling’s spacious wrap-around deck provides the perfect setting for epic sunrise and sunset watching alike, while stargazing is taken to a whole new level in the sunken hot tub… just add a glass or two of bubbles!

Inside await gleaming floors, sumptuous furnishings, and high-end fixtures, adding a touch of contemporary luxury to your holiday.

Flanked by enormous windows and glass doors, the large open plan living space is furnished with squishy seating, and a 49″ Freesat TV for laid-back evenings in (or in the unlikely event that you tire of those spectacular views outside). Simply switch on the centrepiece electric fire, for extra cosiness on chilly evenings.

Meanwhile, the stylish kitchen area is fully fitted with a range of sleek chef-worthy appliances – you may even find yourselves arguing over who gets to cook!  Enjoy the fruits of your culinary labours al fresco, listening to the gentle sounds of the loch, or indoors at the window-side dining table.

When it’s finally time to turn in, you’ll find two bedrooms to choose from, each boasting its own indulgent en-suite facilities. One features a downy kingsize bed, and the other zip-and-link twin beds that can be made into a kingsize if preferred.
