Full description
A timelessly romantic retreat for two, complete with spectacular views of Southwold Harbour.

Soothingly set beside Southwold Harbour, overlooking the shimmering River Blyth, and with views all the way out to Walberswick, you could say that The Old Fisherman's Hut showcases Suffolk at its most beautiful.

So it's a good thing there are plenty of windows for you to view it all from!

You'll be able to feast your eyes on that magnificent landscape from every direction, whether you're cradling a mug of morning coffee as you watch the boats glide past, or gazing out across rolling green meadow land.

You'll notice those windows - and that scenery - just as soon as you arrive, of course. The living area is perfectly primed for you to make the most of them, complete with soft, squishy seating, and a wood-burner to warm your evenings.

Grab a CD and set the mood with some soft background music as you curl up with your loved one (or a good book, whichever you prefer!) There's a TV too, in the unlikely event that you tire of those views.

There's a choice of indoor or outdoor dining tables, with two decking areas that mean you'll never run out of places to sit and watch the world go by. The kitchen, meanwhile, is fabulously well-equipped, even including that all-important microwave.

There are no stairs to trudge up when it's time to turn in - simply meander along to the downy double bedroom for a sound night's sleep. You'll discover a refreshing shower room on your way, too.

Enjoy a delicious home-cooked breakfast in your new favourite dining spot, as you decide whether or not you actually want to get up and move!

If you're in the mood to explore, you can reach the bustling town centre within a leisurely fifteen-minute walk. Or if you prefer, head across the nearby footbridge (or take the foot ferry during the summer months) to Walberswick, an exquisite village set on the Suffolk Heritage Coast.

Not in the mood to travel too far? With the local food-serving pub mere steps away, you can spend as much time as you like eating, drinking, and socialising with friends you haven't met yet!

Oh - and if you're hankering after a traditional day at the beach, complete with a slap-up fish and chip supper, you're in luck.  Simply follow the river path to Southwold, and take a romantic stroll along the pier.

One thing's for certain: you'll be so spoilt for choice of things to see and do during your stay at The Old Fisherman's Hut, that you might decide just one visit isn't enough.
