The Mews is a romantic barn conversion for two, peacefully situated on a fresh and idyllic South Devon farm.
If you're looking for an enchanting farmside escape that's as scenic as it is romantic, pack up your loved one and head for The Mews, a beautifully converted, detached stone cottage that was once home to a domesticated goshawk and is now the setting for a soothingly secluded break especially for two.
Traditionally decorated, light and bright throughout, you'll find The Mews blends perfectly with its lush surroundings, offering plenty of gorgeously green views all around that will soon see you forgetting all about your hectic life back home for a while.
Inside, you'll discover a welcoming open-plan living area complete with underfloor heating, comfy sofas (one of which doubles up as a single bed if needed) and a wood burning stove perfect for those slightly colder evenings!
A compact, well-equipped kitchen and dining area provides everything you need to prepare a selection of romantic bites, including a dishwasher, microwave, and even a Nespresso machine for that first espresso of the day, best enjoyed out on the patio as the sun rises.
Later on, why not head outside to your private garden for a glass of your favourite tipple and a sumptuous soak in your very own wood fired hot tub for two? Mark the beginning of a romantic holiday to remember in warming, relaxed style as you gaze at the early evening stars from the comfort of your tub, right in the middle of the very best surroundings that nature has to offer.
Back inside the cottage, a spiral staircase will lead you to the first floor with its open plan sleeping and bathroom areas. Here you'll discover a roomy king-sized bed dressed in 100% white cotton linen for endlessly dreamy nights and long morning lie-ins, along with an exquisite antique roll top bath that was made for filling up with bubbles!
French doors in the bedroom allow you to gaze out across the patio to the fields beyond, all from the comfort and privacy of your cosy bed.
In fact, you may be so cosy and comfortable that you may never want to leave, particularly as the WiFi-enabled cottage also features a widescreen digital TV, DVD player and iPod dock that's ideal for setting the perfect musical mood. Though when you do decide to venture out, you'll soon find a host of fresh adventure and relaxation waiting to greet you.
South Devon is the ideal spot for walking and cycling, with a whole wealth of coastal and country trails available right from your door. Why not take a ramble out on Dartmoor with its large, open sky - or perhaps a sandy stroll over at nearby Mothecombe along the coastal path is your preference instead?
Lovers of watersports, golf and horse riding are well catered for in the local area, which also plays host to a wide array of attractions and dining venues that will keep you entertained all holiday through.
So come on down to the farm and enjoy a uniquely romantic escape in the fresh countryside that will leave you feeling refreshed, revived and ready to enjoy life!
