A cool and contemporary nautical retreat that's dog-friendly, permanently moored in the heart of Liverpool's vibrantly historic city centre.

Newly constructed in 2019, The Liverpool Boat is the ideal way to experience all the delights of the city to their fullest, before retreating to a tranquil floating haven.

Sleeping up to six guests (one well-behaved dog is welcome too), the welcoming wide-beam canal boat is permanently moored at the exclusive Liverpool Yacht Club and Marina, complete with its own friendly bar and restaurant for those times when you don't feel like straying too far!

Step aboard your boat, to be greeted by elegant, streamlined interiors that promise to make you feel instantly relaxed. The open-plan living space is the ideal setting for everybody to catch up over drinks and chat, complete with a comfy sofa bed and a Smart TV.

There's a separate dining area to break bread in, while a well-equipped kitchen with plenty of mod cons - including those all-important ones, a dishwasher and a coffee machine! - will take care of delicious seafaring feasts.

Bedroom-wise, you'll discover a spacious kingsize room with its own private seating area, and a quirky bunk room with a porthole that overlooks the marina.

There's even a modern bathroom on board too, complete with bath, shower attachment, and a toasty heated towel rail.

Once you've finished exploring, you can get on with spending lazy summer evenings in the al fresco area, or propping up the on-site outdoor beach and gin bar if you prefer!

Maybe you'd rather venture further afield, instead. If so, you'll find you don't need to travel very far at all to immerse yourselves in those bright city lights. A mere stroll leads you onto the bustling waterfront - a UNESCO World Heritage site, no less - where you can while away some time in the many lively restaurants and bars.

Of course, while you're in Liverpool you'll want to sample some of the city's finest attractions, which you'll discover within a 20-minute walk along the promenade. Browse the latest exhibitions at Tate Liverpool, Instagram yourselves at the Royal Albert Dock, or immerse yourselves in musical history with a Beatles Magical Mystery Tour.

Finish off your day of sightseeing with a trip to the Georgian Quarter, home to some of the oldest buildings in the city - not to mention some of the best food and drink in the area.  Well, you deserve a treat, don't you?

The very best thing about all this indulgence is the fact that you have a perfect, calm sanctuary to return to at the end of yet another hectic day. So, feel free to dive in and enjoy!

Things to note

There are steps to the boat's entrance - please take care.  Smoking is not permitted.
