The proud winner of a Gold Award in the 2020 Beautiful South Tourism Awards, The Hedgerow at Wainhill is a dream-like, dog-friendly lodge retreat for two, newly constructed in 2019, and soothingly positioned in the heart of The Chilterns.

Although it’ll be easy to feel as though you’ve secluded yourselves deliciously away from the rest of the world, you’ll enjoy direct access to (and stunning views of) The Ridgeway National Trail, while the picturesque market town of Thame is a mere ten minutes away by car.

Furnished to an exceptionally high standard, the timber lodge itself is fully detached, peacefully decorated in soft, muted tones, and equipped with everything you’ll need for a cosy and indulgent break.

High-end luxuries include ultra-fast broadband, and a digital flatscreen Smart TV to keep you connected and entertained… though of course, you’re just as welcome to switch yourselves off completely, and relish those magnificent rural surroundings!

Meanwhile, you’ll find your kingsize Hypnos bed sumptuously dressed in fresh linen, and there’s a deluxe shower cabin stocked with complimentary Ermana organic toiletries, and plenty of fluffy towels.

Kitchen-wise, you’ll find plenty of conveniences that make holiday life easier, such as a microwave and a dishwasher, along with a ready supply of hot drinks, and complimentary local treats that include apple chutney and cold-pressed oil.

While away some idle time in your sweet-scented private garden – the perfect place for a long, lazy al fresco supper. Or for a change of scenery, why not grab a good book, and relax in the cheerful on-site vintage caravan known as Alice? Quirky and fun, she makes an ideal ‘summer room’!

“We only stayed 3 nights but wished we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be going back for a week next year. For a peaceful getaway in beautiful countryside, I could not recommend this place highly enough!”

“After a long drive we were thrilled to arrive at The Hedgerow and loved how welcoming Katrina was. The lodge was super comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean – we loved the extra touches! It was the best break for us and great to be able to walk into Chinnor to see our family. Definitely our new home from home!”
