A beautiful barn conversion - complete with outdoor tennis court - for a peaceful family escape on a rural Suffolk estate near the coastal town of Southwold.

Nestled amongst tranquil countryside on the vast, picturesque Reydon Grove Estate in Suffolk, The Grain Store is a wonderfully quirky retreat for up to six guests.

There's plenty of comfort-filled space inside for everybody to relax and decompress from hectic everyday life, surrounded by unique historic elements that give a gentle nod to the barn's original life as a grain store.

Restored to its former glory, the original timber throughout is soothingly rustic, while tin-lined walls and upcycled bathroom fittings add a timeless touch of rural authenticity. Though if you thought all this would mean compromising on modern conveniences, you'd be wrong.

The stylish, bespoke kitchen and dining room is a case in point; a huge, well-equipped, sociable space with that celebrity chef essential... a central island! There's also a Rangemaster stove, and an American-style fridge-freezer with an ice dispenser, not to mention an all-important dishwasher, and a Nespresso machine complete with milk frother.

After you've argued about who gets to do the cooking, savour the winner's efforts at the relaxed dining table, positioned right next to two sets of double doors that lead out to the furnished, south-facing terrace.  

In fact, on sunny evenings, why not head through those doors to enjoy an al fresco meal instead?

When it's time to turn in, simply head up the wooden stairs to discover two elegant bedrooms. The master suite boasts delights that include a Juliet balcony with endless countryside views, a rocking chair, bedside tables carved from estate trees, and an en-suite with a gorgeous roll-top bath.

Meanwhile, the guest suite features a partitioned wall with a downy kingsize bed on one side, and cosy twins on the other, with a separate door leading to a luxury en-suite shower room that's stocked with plenty of fluffy towels.

After a sound night's sleep, take your steaming sunrise coffee out to the terrace, as you contemplate all the wonders of the day ahead!  

The coastal town of Southwold is a mere ten-minute drive away, with its independent shops and iconic pier. Though if you're more of a nature lover, Minsmere RSPB Nature Reserve is close by, and there are plenty of walking and cycling routes to discover.

Yet you won't have to stray very far at all to get the most from your day, as the extensive estate grounds boast a shared tennis court, a large field to burn off all that childish energy in, and a dedicated play area.

(In fact, your only problem could be choosing how best to spend your holiday time!)
