Full description
A sociable, architect-designed retreat for large group breaks - dogs included - mere moments away from the atmospheric dunes and idyllic beach at Camber Sands.

Boasting the only sand dune system in East Sussex, Camber Sands is also home to a stunning, three-mile stretch of unspoilt sandy beach that's worthy of the finest picture postcard.

Just moments away from this coastal idyll lies The Camber Beach House, an eco-friendly and design-led retreat that's perfect for joyful group breaks of up to 10 guests. And with up to three well-behaved dogs also welcome at no extra cost, nobody has to be left off the holiday list!

Expertly crafted by a team of award-winning architects who specialise in coastal retreats, you can expect luxurious attention to detail both inside and out of this thoroughly modern home.

Not only does the shingle-clad exterior blend beautifully with those windswept coastal surroundings, but inside await sumptuous, laid-back spaces with clean lines, soft tones, and soaring apex ceilings... ideal for socialising and relaxing alike.

The gorgeous open plan living, dining, and kitchen areas all flow seamlessly into one-another, for a glorious sense of space. Here you'll also discover supremely indulgent features that include butter-soft sofas with plenty of cosy cushions and throws, quirky mood lighting, and inviting piles of books to dive into.

There's also a super-stylish kitchen - immaculately equipped with shaker units, dark stone worktops, and an Elica NikolaTesla hob - that'll have everybody arguing about who's going to be the designated cook (though you can always hire a private chef for that special celebratory meal, should you wish!)

For those who need a little extra privacy, each of the five elegant double bedrooms comes complete with its very own bath or shower en-suite. One ground-floor room opens directly onto the patio garden, which is ideal for those with four-legged friends in tow, while the separate garden annexe, with its own bedroom and bathroom, is perfect for those who like to retire to bed a little earlier than the rest.

And what of the patio garden? Safe, secure, and featuring a 500 year-old olive tree, there's plenty of space to laze in the afternoon sun, enjoy sizzling sunset suppers, and let the kids and dogs run wild and free. There's even an al fresco kitchen, and a hot and cold outdoor shower for sandy toes (and paws!) after an energetic day at the beach.

With ample storage space for your watersports equipment, and the beach on your doorstep, there's surely no excuse not to indulge in seaside activities?

Yet with two cafés on the beach, and a nature reserve close by, there are plenty of other ways to while away your time here... including shopping and lunch at the bustling medieval town of Rye, just 10 minutes away by car.

As if all of this wasn't quite enough, the friendly owners are happy to provide all manner of extras, from morning yoga sessions to babysitting services, to help make your stay even more special.

Things to note

Minimum stay 3 nights. A caterer can be arranged on request. Please note that the double beds cannot be separated into twins. Dog beds are available on request.

Tried and tested

"Everything about our stay at The Camber Beach House was perfect. The location is wonderful: close to the sea and nearby restaurants. It is spacious and beautifully decorated with an incredibly large garden. The house is so comfortable and luxurious but curated with personality and conversation in mind. We booked the house for a family birthday celebration and she thoughtfully left cupcakes and left champagne on ice for us. We all loved it-the party comprised of a dog, a seven year old, some twenty somethings, up to 50 and 60 somethings - and all are keen to return again to this seaside paradise."

"The loveliest weekend away at The Camber Beach House for a belated birthday family get together. Jeani the host, couldn't have done more to make our stay special and was so amazingly helpful in the lead up to our weekend with everything from extensive restaurant recommendations to extended check out times. She even left a birthday cake out for us on arrival. The house itself was gorgeous: generously serviced and beautifully decorated, not to mention a stone's throw from Camber Sands itself. Would highly recommend if you have dogs too, I think we happened to stumble on the most dog-friendly accommodation ever - helpful when we had 5 of our own away with us!"

"We are still high on pure joy of spending time in this house last week. Where do I begin: every single comfort for both humans and dogs has been carefully considered. Light and airy space everywhere, bedrooms, en-suites bathrooms, kitchen and living space, equipment all ace.
The perfect location right by the wonderful sandy beach with a charming little town of Rye and dramatic Dungeness just up the road. The owner really went the extra mile for us, arranging deliveries, giving us information, booking taxis and restaurants to make our holiday just perfect. Thank you  - we would all like to come again in the summer please."
