Host the greatest lock-in of your lives, in a relaxed 16th century pub and former coaching inn with full bar facilities, cosy rooms and a hot tub, surrounded by the Shropshire Hills AONB.
  • Sleeps: 23
  • Bedrooms: 10
  • Bathrooms: 6
  • Minimum stay: 2 nights

Nestled in the heart of Bishop’s Castle, a quaint market town surrounded by the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The Boars Head Pub is the perfect setting for a fun-filled rural escape.

Sleeping up to 23 guests, and with two well-behaved dogs allowed too, no-one needs to be left off the guest list as you plan your laughter-fuelled lock-in!

Accommodation is generously spaced between Curly Tail, which is all ground-floor, so perfect for guests with additional mobility requirements, and the main pub building.

You’ll find Curly Tail gainfully equipped with four homely en-suite bedrooms (three kingsize and one family room), each complete with a Smart TV. Meanwhile, the main pub boasts six first-floor rooms and two indulgent bathrooms… along with a wealth of fun facilities!

The commercial kitchen makes cooking a breeze, with its high-end appliances and whizzy gadgets that include a panini press and dessert fridge. Though if rustling up celebratory feasts sounds like far too much effort, you could always take up the owners’ kind offer of catering services for your group, instead.

If you’d like a tipple to go with your meal, simply head to the traditional bar and lounge, with its crackling wood-burning stove and drinks on tap (either bring your own supplies or order a drinks package in advance.)

What next? Prop up the bar in lively conversation, steal away to the cosy snug with a good book, watch your favourite movie – or the big match – in the cinema room, or challenge your loved ones to a game of darts or pool… your pub, your choice!
