Full description
An eco-friendly tiny house for two, deliciously secluded amongst vineyards and mountain views that are just an hour away from Barcelona's bustling city centre.

Secluded deep in the heart of the Penedes vineyards (particularly famous for their Cava), Stendhal feels like a magical secret waiting to be discovered.

An off-grid tiny house for two, you'll be less than an hour from Barcelona's thriving city centre, yet you'll feel as though you've spirited yourselves blissfully far away from the rest of civilisation.

Talented owner Antoine has won awards for his sustainable, homely creations, and Stendhal is a true reflection of his passion for both nature and comfort.

Yet that doesn't mean aesthetic beauty doesn't get a good look-in. The breathable wooden interiors are peppered with stylish black and cheerful flashes of red, while enormous windows allow you to enjoy those rolling mountain-and-vineyard views to your hearts' content.

Depending on the time of day (and your mood!) simply fire up the coffee maker or pop open a bottle of local Cava, and that's your holiday scene perfectly set. Though if you need a little extra entertainment, there are board games, books, a Bluetooth speaker, and even a guitar, all close at hand. Oh, and not forgetting a cosy hammock to curl up in with a good book!

Positioned right underneath one of those aforementioned windows, the downy bed all but guarantees not only a sound night's sleep, but that you'll wake to astounding views. You'll even be supplied with a breakfast hamper, stuffed full of fresh, mouth-watering local produce.

(And in case you were wondering, Stendhal is fully self-contained, so you'll be able to enjoy a refreshing shower before starting your day!)

If you really must re-join civilisation, it almost goes without saying that Barcelona is a city that has it all... eclectic shops, historic sites, and even sun-soaked beaches to stretch out and relax on.

We think, however, that you won't want to miss out on the opportunity to pack a picnic lunch and wander amongst the vines, without a care in the world (just remember to bring some sturdy footwear.)

A tour of the ArtCava winery, which you'll find right on the premises, also has to be a must. Dating all the way back to 1730, and fascinatingly positioned right next to a Stone Age monument, the friendly family owners will be more than happy to show you around - and perhaps even pour you a tasting glass or two!

But for now, why not just sit amongst beauty and contemplate life for a while... something the Spanish do oh so well?
