Somerset’s Quantock Hills could have been custom-made for glamping breaks. England’s very first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, they cover acres of ancient parkland, soothing oak woodland, and rich, rolling fields.

You’ll find Somerset Yurts right here, beautifully nestled on a working dairy farm with plenty of wide open space, and truly magnificent views out to the Blackdown Hills.

Choose your accommodation from a selection of individually named, styled and furnished yurts, each sleeping up to four people (plus the dog!) Moonslade is decked in calming sky-blue, while Furzeclose is golden-orange, the traditional colour for Mongolian yurts…and a perfect accompaniment to that sunrise.

Green-toned Gotton Down blends perfectly into the country landscape, while Cherrygrove is the most romantic yurt, enjoying a secluded position that’s furthest away from the communal barn.  Finally, Meadow is the newest yurt addition, a locally-crafted haven packed with character.

Don’t fancy a yurt? Then how about Elderflower, a futuristic geodesic dome with a huge stargazing window? Or for added luxury, the Safari Lodges come complete with two separate bedrooms, kitchen facilities, and a private bathroom with flushing loo. Each sleeping up to six people, the Lodges are the perfect choice if you’re bringing the family along.

Whichever accommodation you decide on, you can expect thoughtful attention to detail throughout, plus proper beds and sumptuous furnishings. All those glamping practicalities are well-covered, from the all-important woodburner to lighting, electricity, and hot drink-making facilities!

And of course, you’ll have your own outdoor space to enjoy, complete with a picnic bench and a barbecue (so that’s suppertime sunset-watching covered).
