Conveniently set on the outskirts of Manchester city centre, Heaton Park is listed on the English Heritage Register, and is one of Europe’s largest municipal parks.

A distinctive, eight-sided building that dates back to 1806, the Grade II-listed Smithy Lodge was once the park’s gatehouse, now mesmerisingly transformed into a charming retreat for up to four guests.

There’s an instantly welcoming atmosphere as you step inside, to be greeted by a sumptuous, high-ceilinged lounge with soft lamp lighting, and a spacious kitchen and dining area.

Meanwhile, just up the original steep stairs await a family bathroom and two elegant bedrooms: a superking and a twin.

Once you’ve settled in, you can explore your historic surroundings with ease. Amongst many other delights, Heaton Park is home to several cafés, a farm, a tram museum, a boating lake, and a championship-quality golf course…truly offering something for everyone.
