Resilient Woodlands Retreat
England / Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire
Full description
Two naturally luxurious eco-glamping cabins, stunningly located between the rivers Wye and Severn in the enchanting Forest of Dean.
Specifically created to help stressed-out souls enjoy tranquil woodland beauty in a natural and sustainable way, Resilient Woodland Retreat occupies a truly sublime position in the ancient, magical Forest of Dean.
The two eco-friendly, bespoke-crafted cabins you'll discover here are beautifully nestled between the rivers Wye and Severn, on the edge of coppiced woodland that's teeming with deer, foxes, rabbits, and swooping owls.
With both cabins boasting superlative views over the Severn Estuary, you'll feel compelled to leave the cares of stressful everyday life far behind you.
While you'll find both Coppice Cabin and Woodman's Cabin similar in size and facilities, each one boasts its own unique, quirky character that promises to soothe your senses from the moment you step inside.
Lovingly designed to offer as much comfort and luxury as possible, each cabin sleeps up to four guests, on a downy kingsize bed and a cosy double futon... with those wondrous woodland views to wake up to.
After an energetic, fresh-air-filled day of exploring the local area, you can whip up a well-deserved feast in the fully fitted kitchen, which features an induction hob, combi oven with microwave, and that all-important full size fridge!
And in case you were wondering if you'd have to compromise on bathroom facilities in the Great Outdoors, you'll even have your own private wet room ensuite, complete with a full-size shower unit, a ‘proper' toilet, and eco-friendly toiletries. Underfloor heating and a wood burning stove will warm you whatever the season.
You'll also find Coppice Cabin equipped for your four-legged friend too, with a luxury bespoke dog bed, food and water bowls, and outdoor dog washing facilities... so you can go on as many muddy walks as you like!
Against such an enchanting backdrop, it isn't just your feet that can find freedom to roam. This is the perfect spot to unleash that long-lost creative spirit, so along with your walking boots, you might want to pack a notebook, or some art supplies.
You could also take advantage of the hosts' upcoming plans to offer on-site courses in woodmanship, country crafts, wild foraging, and traditional outdoor cooking, so you can incorporate a touch of sustainability in your life back home (and of course, show off your new skills!)
But until then, you might find your sheltered outdoor deck an appropriate place from which to relax and observe the local wildlife going about its day...
...as you listen to joyous birdsong overhead, enjoy some gentle chatter with your loved ones, and take another welcome sip of that delicious drink.
Things to note
Minimum 2-night stay from Monday - Thursday, minimum 3 nights from Friday - Sunday. Nightly prices start from £155/night, but please see website for specific prices
