A rustic, oak-clad hideaway for two with a wood-fired stargazing hot tub, dog-friendly and peacefully secluded amongst whispering olive trees in an ancient East Sussex village.
  • Sleeps: 2
  • Bedroom: 1
  • Bathroom: 1
  • Minimum stay: 3 nights

Perfect for a romantic escape into nature, you’ll discover Olive Tree House nestled amongst its namesake trees, in the ancient East Sussex village of Ripe.

Though the historic town of Lewes and the sweeping Sussex coast are within a mere 30 minute drive, you’ll feel like the only two people in the world as you arrive at the stylish, oak-clad retreat.

And with up to two well-behaved dogs also welcome to stay, you won’t have to leave your best four-legged friends behind.

Inside awaits a gorgeous open-plan living space with timber-clad walls, an ornate chandelier, and a wood-burning stove to keep chilly evenings nice and cosy, as you snuggle up on the leather sofa together.

Savour romantic meals cooked in the kitchen, with its electric Aga (don’t worry, there’s a dishwasher too!) at the bespoke antique sewing-machine dining table. Don’t feel like cooking? There’s a fish-and-chip van that visits the village regularly, and a selection of friendly inns close by.

If the evening sun happens to be shining, you could always fire up the barbecue for a sizzling supper instead… or simply take your digestifs out to the beautiful landscaped deck, elevated over the garden for superlative views.

Steps lead down to the enclosed garden itself, with a shimmering pond, feature-plants, and whispering mature trees. Here you’ll also find a firepit for marshmallow toasting, and a wood-fired hot tub for stargazing – total bliss.
