  • Minimum stay: 2 nights

When everyday life gets too much, spirit your loved one away to the flourishing beauty of the Scottish Borders, and to Old Mill, a breathtaking conversion of an 18th century water mill.

Captivating and unique, Old Mill perfectly blends old and new, with all the contemporary comforts you might expect from a rural break, set against the building’s rich and original heritage.

Entering through the stable door, straight into the double-height, open-plan living area, you will feel immediately welcome.  Characterful wooden beams and lofty ceilings are the charming backdrop for comfy furnishings, one-of-a-kind vintage accessories and soft-toned décor.

Head for the smart and sociable kitchen and fire up the Nespresso machine for your first holiday coffee. The oiled oak dining table makes for a truly irresistible spot to catch up on life and love over home-prepared feasts, and as it seats six, you can even entertain if you’re in the mood!

The mezzanine bedroom is a sublime spot for sleeping and lazing alike, with plenty of soft colours and textures to make you feel irresistibly snug. Monkey side lamps add a touch of quirkiness, while a conveniently-placed rolltop bath means you can roll right out of the kingsize bed, into a tub full of indulgent bubbles.

Chat to your loved one as you soak, or simply relax as you gaze at the stars outside…while if a shower’s more your thing, you’ll find a cleverly-designed shower room in the eaves – ideal for freshening up after a long day out.

Chat your evenings away in the sitting room, complete with its gorgeous vintage Moroccan rug, designer lamps and hand-made shutters, while on sunny afternoons you can head out to the garden, where the mill lade gently trickles through.
