One of two unique, Grade II listed cottages uniquely set beside a restored 18th century lighthouse, Stopes Cottage offers the ideal ‘get away from it all’ coastal escape.

Named after the lighthouse’s former owner, Dr. Marie Stopes, this amazing location was once visited by luminaries including George Bernard Shaw, H.G. Wells and Thomas Hardy – so you’ll be in very good company indeed!

The comfy cottage itself is single-storey, boasting a corridor that links directly to the lighthouse, and spectacular sea views from the south-facing lounge, kitchen, and twin bedroom (there’s an irresistibly cosy double, too).

Relax inside with a book, or head up to the breathtaking observatory at the top of the lighthouse and stir your creative spirit as you take in those wonderful seascapes!

Of course, you’ve always got the option to relax by the shared swimming pool instead, take an invigorating dip in the Jacuzzi, or wander with a chilled glass of wine out to the gardens, complete with ornamental fishponds.

(Just which will you choose?)
