Offa's Dyke Escape
Wales / St Asaph, Denbighshire
Full description
An Amazing Space for two, complete with an al fresco hot tub, set high in the glorious hills of North Wales with incredible views of Snowdonia National Park.
Gently elevated in the heart of a designated North Wales Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Offa's Dyke Escape showcases rich scenery of the most incredible kind; all the way out to Snowdonia National Park and Anglesey beyond.
Yet it's not just the external vista you'll admire, since the unique escape-for-two was once featured on the popular Channel Four TV show, George Clarke's Amazing Spaces.
You'll see why when you arrive, driving through the imposing electric gates and marvelling at the lodge's huge, curved window and smooth wooden-clad exterior, designed to complement the surrounding natural landscape.
Once inside, the open-plan living space is a joy to relax in, with its enthusing mix of soft furnishings, stylish pendant lighting, and feature tree branches. Decorated with ornate Victorian-style tiling, the sleek, compact kitchen area is perfectly equipped for feasts of every description.
You'll find a chic shower room here too, while awaiting you up on the mezzanine is a super-plush kingsize bed with an award-winning Emma mattress... and a self-rising TV to make you feel like you're in a Bond movie!
After a sound night's sleep and a lazy lie-in, you'll look forward to throwing open the patio doors for morning coffee to a joyous soundtrack of birdsong, and a backdrop of stunning coast-and-countryside.
But if you're looking for a change of scenery, you won't have to travel far to find new places to unwind in. The White House Restaurant and Spa is in walking distance, while two miles away, the friendly owners at the Piccadilly Inn will happily pick you up and drop you off right at the lodge!
The small-yet-perfectly-formed city of St. Asaph is also close by, bursting with shops to browse and mouth-watering bistros to while away time in. Here you'll also find Britain's smallest cathedral, a nine-hole golf course, and a wealth of pretty riverside walks.
There are beaches to visit too, of course, including Prestatyn and Llandudno, with its 19th century pier, and you can't leave without visiting Snowdonia National Park at least, especially after gazing at it for so long! The lodge's famous namesake, Offa's Dyke Path is also a must-visit.
After a long day out exploring the endless delights of local area, you'll soon see why Offa's Dyke Escape boasts an al fresco hot tub! Unwinding there with a glass of bubbles in hand, under a twinkling canopy of stars, is sure to become the best part of your holiday.
