Full description
A refreshing East Sussex retreat, filled with creature comforts and perfectly positioned in the heart of picturesque farmland.

Fitted with large, light-attracting windows, French doors and a beautiful stargazing dome, Oak Yurt is no ordinary yurt.

Sleeping up to five guests, and peacefully situated amongst stunning East Sussex farmland, there's certainly no expectation of ‘roughing it' in the Great Outdoors.'re on holiday, aren't you?

In fact, Oak Yurt has more of a luxurious cottage feel, with the benefits of living under canvas (think morning raindrops splashing down as you cosy up in bed!) and all the creature comforts that make a countryside holiday so special - including a bubbling five-person hot tub.

Filled with light, space, and sumptuous furniture, the relaxing living area is surrounded by Douglas fir rafters and intricate lattice work (there's a TV, too).

The generously-equipped kitchen is ideal for creating culinary masterpieces, complete with a fitted electric oven, hob, microwave and fridge. There's even a dishwasher, to make cleaning up afterwards ridiculously easy.

Meanwhile, the ground floor bathroom features a roomy walk-in shower and toasty underfloor heating...with a flushing loo that means there'll be no queuing for a smelly chemical toilet!

The private ground floor bedroom is home to a downy superking bed, while the mezzanine sleeping space is very special indeed.  Gaze at the stars as you prepare to drift off, from the comfort of three plump single mattresses (two of which can be linked to form a superking).

Sit out in your secluded garden by day, catching up with the ones you love amongst all the glorious sights, sounds and smells of nature. Curl up with a book, or if you're more of a wanderer, there are plenty of peaceful country lanes that lead you into pretty villages.

Take a longer walk, if you like, by the river and down to the sea, through the Cuckmere Valley with views across to the Seven Sisters Heritage Coast.

Charming towns Uckfield and Heathfield are close by, while Lewes, with its cobbled streets and antique shops, is accessible within a 20-minute drive.

Slightly further afield are the piers, seafronts and picture-postcard fun of Eastbourne and Brighton, both of which can be reached in around 45 minutes.

After a hard day's exploring, return to your tranquil yurt just in time to catch that blazing sunset. Fire up the barbecue and prepare a sizzling al fresco supper, before you spot the first of those twinkling stars with a dip in the hot tub.

Isn't life hard?
