Eco-powered exclusive rural valley glamping - complete with friendly neighbourhood sheep! - in the scenic Peak District.
Always wanted to try glamping, but worried it might be a little too crowded and noisy? You'll be firmly converted after a stay in the quietly welcoming Mulino Pods, three private glamping pods situated on farm land featuring outstanding valley views, far out towards the tranquil Carsington Water reservoir.
Watch the sun rise slowly into the morning sky from the comfort of your private pod with its stylish French doors and outdoor decking area - perfect for getting back to nature, far away from the rush of everyday life.
The three pods are separately tucked away in hawthorn bushes, naturally creating your very own personal space - and you won't have any trouble from your mild-mannered woolly neighbours...the farm sheep that spend their time grazing in the surrounding fields and paddocks!
Damson and Bluebell Pods sleep either up to 3 adults or 2 adults 2 children (under 13yrs) and are ideal for couples and small families, while Lavender is a large, south-facing family pod sleeping up to 4 adults or 2 adults 4 children. (Damson and Lavender are pet-friendly if you have a well-behaved dog who's also in need of a holiday!).
All three pods have quality built right in, with cedar cladding that complements the natural surroundings, and full insulation that will keep you cosy against all the elements. With the local environment firmly in mind, they also feature eco-friendly power and heating from the farm's wind turbine.
Damson and Bluebell each house a double bed and a futon, while Lavender boasts a double bed, two bunks and a futon - all freshly made up for your arrival! Inside your pod you'll find all the comforts of home, with superfast WiFi and sockets to keep your social media accounts fully updated, along with a fridge, toaster and kettle. On the decking you'll find outdoor seating and a table for that all-important al-fresco cuppa, with a barbecue area and use of a firepit for when home cooking gets sizzling.
The two shared bathrooms are both fully heated, and are just a short distance from each Pod, near to the ‘Info Room' - providing essential information for your stay along with books, games and an honesty shop - and the well-equipped country-style communal kitchen area.
You'll find there's plenty of space around the site to explore, and farm tours can also be arranged. The year-round farming calendar includes lambing, sheep shearing, dry stone walling courses - and even making hay while the sun shines!
Further afield, the Peak District National Park is abundant with natural attractions just waiting to be discovered, with endless walking and cycling routes that mean you'll never be bored. How about a spot of windsurfing on Carsington, or a history-steeped stroll through the nearby town of Ashbourne?
Following a long day of adventure, the local village pub ‘The Red Lion' offers a warm welcome, delicious food and heartwarming local cider, just half an hour's walk from the site.
