Luxury, peace and a totally unique natural swimming pool are waiting for you at Longview B&B - a haven of tranquillity on the outskirts of Great Walsingham.
Only ten minutes from the golden, sandy beaches of Holkham and Wells-next-the-Sea, Longview B&B offers the perfect escape from the hubbub of life. Be thoroughly pampered in comfortable bedrooms before waking to a delicious home-cooked breakfast. Take a dip in the cool waters of the natural swimming pool or relax at the edge with a good read. Explore the delights of the Norfolk coast and countryside or simply take time to unwind at Longview. One thing's for sure - you'll end your visit relaxed, satisfied and ready to book your next stay!
For adults only, Longview B&B is perfect for couples. On arrival, you can look forward to a warm welcome, and tea and cake, before settling into your bedroom. With three gorgeous rooms on offer, all located on the ground floor, you can look forward to being spoiled with the most luxurious linen and comfortable beds, as well as beautiful bathroom facilities.
All rooms have their own unique layout, but are equally luxurious. Room 1 offers a king-size bed and en-suite shower room, while Room 2 offers a double bed and an adjacent private bathroom, complete with a large walk-in shower, double sinks and a huge freestanding bath. Finally, new for August 2016, is Room 3 - a king-size room with a luxury en-suite shower room, walk-in dressing room and a seating area with views of the natural swimming pool. You can also access the deck through French doors from this room.
Wherever you end up sleeping, all guests have access to Longview B&B's heavenly garden - a real highlight! With the unusual natural swimming pool at the centre, enjoy this large but secluded space, surrounded by nature and the peace of the countryside. On fine days, you can even enjoy your breakfast by the pool, and we can't think of a more wonderful way to start the day.
Speaking of breakfast, owners Pat and Bill are certainly proud of their food - and rightly so! Having been accredited by the Slow Food Movement, they take every care to ensure that all ingredients are sourced locally where possible and grown responsibly, creating a fresh, delicious breakfast for guests to enjoy! Select from the ‘Full Norfolk', scrambled eggs with smoked salmon or trout, French toast, pancakes or a range of lighter options, as well as freshly-brewed coffee or tea. And if that's not enough, you can even order a sumptuous Afternoon Tea in advance of your stay, making your visit all the more special!
When not relaxing at Longview B&B, Great Walsingham is well worth a visit. Having welcomed visitors since 1061, it is now ready to welcome you, with its stunning array of medieval buildings, two shrines and its abbey grounds, where springtime snowdrops are a sight to behold. Take time to explore the village's independent shops, perhaps picking up some local produce at the Walsingham Farms Shop, or satisfying your sweet tooth at the Chocolate Deli! And for meals out, the Norfolk Riddle Restaurant and Black Lion Hotel come highly recommended, offering excellent food and drink all year round.
Nearby, the Wells and Walsingham Light Railway - the longest 10¼" narrow gauge steam railway in the world - provides an idyllic tour through beautiful countryside. Historic houses at Holkham, Sandringham, Felbrigg and Blickling are all in easy distance, as are a number of excellent bird reserves, and if you're visiting in November or December, don't forget to visit the world-famous Thursford Collection Christmas Spectacular - only ten minutes away!
In all, it's easy to see why guests love Longview B&B. Offering a perfect haven of peace and serenity, a fabulously unique natural pool, delicious food and a wonderful location, it really is the ideal place for relaxing, recharging and readying yourself for the real world again.
