Hidden away in the jaw-dropping Dovedale Valley, you'll find Long Valley Yurts - the perfect glamping getaway in the heart of the Lake District.

Long Valley Yurts offers a truly wonderful escape for those who just want to get away from it all.  Surrounded by mountains and stunning views in every direction, experience the allure of the wilderness without compromising on comfort.

With only two luxurious yurts available, you can guarantee privacy and that all-important peace and quiet - as well as accommodation you'll remember for a lifetime!  Both yurts are generously proportioned, sleeping up to six people each within their 18ft frames.  It really is the perfect retreat for friends, families, or couples.

The yurts at Long Valley have been modelled on the traditional Turkmen Yurt - an intricate wooden frame wrapped in canvas, with opulent décor inside!  Both have been crafted in the UK using light ash sourced from sustainable woodland, supporting home-grown businesses and the environment.  What's more, the thick, water-tight, poly-cotton canvas keeps you warm and dry all night long, whatever the British weather is doing.

Inside, both yurts are large and airy, meaning there's no need to duck, regardless of your height!  Another breath of fresh air from traditional camping is the wooden floor, creating a level base to the yurt and a real sense of home.  Twinkling fairy lights, lanterns overhead, and solar powered lighting add that little bit extra to your stay.

There's a distinctly Moroccan feel to both yurts; colourful blankets, bright cushions, woollen rugs all combine to make an inviting and cosy space.  A wood-burning stove keeps everyone toasty, while a small gas hob and every pot and pan you'll need brings a refreshing touch to campsite catering!  Challenge each other to a tournament from the games chest, brimming with new games and some old favourites too.

Come bedtime, unfold the futon-style beds (a mixture of doubles and singles!), and curl up under freshly laundered feather duvets - no sleeping bags required!  And before you nod off, be sure to look skyward through the central skylight to spot the stars twinkling overhead.

Soak up that stunning scenery as you enjoy your morning coffee or evening drinks, and revel in the sounds of the countryside.  A small shop is based on site for your convenience, stocking all the essentials you may need for your trip.  You'll also find the cosy Brotherswater Inn just moments away - a superb pub serving up great food and fantastic local ales.

Long Valley Yurts makes the ideal base for exploring the very best of the gorgeous Lake District, and you'll find plenty of things to do within a short step of your front door!  Take an early morning dip in Brotherswater, or if you prefer to keep your toes dry, simply take a stroll around this magnificent lake, where the mountains reflect in the clear, still water.

Pack a picnic and head up Fairfield for a full day's hike, or take a trip to Patterdale, Glenridding, or Pooley Bridge - all of which are in easy reach.  Beautiful Ullswater is also in short distance; take a trip on a paddle steamer for a river tour you'll never forget.  There are also countless activities to try just a short drive away, including moonlit canoeing, paddle boarding, and Bushcraft!

Who knew there was so much waiting for you in this little corner of Cumbria?  So pack up your bags for utter relaxation at Long Valley Yurts, and leave refreshed, reinvigorated, and loving the simple things in life.

Things to note

Stays are either midweek (Mon-Fri), weekend (Fri-Mon) or full week, cots are available at £5 per stay, pets are welcome to the site but not to stay inside the yurts, exceptions are made for guide dogs.
