Full description
A welcoming family-run farm with TV-featured accommodation, wood-fired hot tubs and friendly alpacas, peacefully secluded in the picturesque Ribble Valley.

Featured on Channel Four's ‘Four in a Bed', Little Oakhurst is a fun, friendly, family-run farm, on which you'll find cosy accommodation and wood-fired hot tubs.

Just five miles from bustling Clitheroe, the farm is peacefully secluded in the Ribble Valley, with plenty of opportunity to relax and unwind amongst idyllic rural scenery that looks out to the ancient Pendle Hill.

(Farm owner Andy frequently says that his cows enjoy the very best Lancashire views from their ‘cow palace', and now you get to join them!)

Bed down in one of two homely yurts, Dandelion Hill and Mayflower, or an outrageously cute shepherd's hut named Bluebell. Whichever you choose, you'll have gleaming, modern bathroom facilities that are all yours, and of course, a private wood-fired hot tub to help you welcome the sunset in style.

"This is incredibly welcoming..." murmured one Four in a Bed contestant as he stepped into his yurt, and that's exactly the impression Andy and Joanne have strived to offer.

Candles, fairy lights, and a wood-burning stove give a hazy golden glow, while soft furnishings evoke a warm sense of comfort. You'll also have electricity and ‘proper' beds - a double and two futons - to sleep up to four guests (a travel cot can also be provided on request).

Described as "cute and cosy" on Four in a Bed, Bluebell Shepherd's Hut also boasts electricity and a wood-burning stove, with a small double bed occupying one end, and a charming kitchen and bathroom the other. What else could any romantic couple need?

Once you've settled into your chosen accommodation, you're free to devour a slice of complimentary home-made cake, then relax in your hot tub or by the firepit, awaiting the arrival of the stars with a well-deserved glass of bubbles.

Speaking of which, Andy and Joanne offer a mouth-watering selection of ‘extras' to make your stay that little bit more special, from fine wines and cheese platters, to farmhouse barbecue and locally-sourced breakfast hampers... just ask.

And if you're staying put on the farm, there's plenty to occupy your time. Arrange a tour with Andy and his Dad, Jim - they may even teach you some ‘farmer language' if you ask nicely! You can also meet the farm's friendly resident alpacas, each named after a character from the TV show Benidorm.

Otherwise, hire an e-bike and whizz your way through the countryside, or don your walking boots and set out on the circular Tolkien Trail. Stop for welcome refreshments in the pretty village of Hurst Green, before making your way back to Little Oakhurst to savour another blazing sunset.

Things to note

Check in from 4pm, check out by 10am (yurts) or 11am (shepherd's hut). Please bring towels and your own bedding for the travel cot.

"We cannot recommend this place enough! It truly is beautiful, not only the place but also the staff, they are so accommodating and make you feel so welcome! This was our second visit to Little Oakhurst and we had a brilliant time! It definitely will not be the last as we are already planning our next trip back! Biggest tip would be to make sure you order a BBQ hamper from Jo - you will not regret it! The food is absolutely gorgeous and they are very generous with portion sizes too!"

"Hidden gem. Second visit now and will be returning I love this place it is great for adults wanting some wind down time but also good for the kids to be able to enjoy being kids again in the nature playing outside games exploring what life really is about. Joanne and Andy are lovely people and give you space to enjoy your time there but are a call away if need be. The bbq packs are brilliant the meat is good quality I especially enjoyed the chicken kebabs. Beautiful place."

"Little Oakhurst is a magical place. All facilities are very well maintained and the staff are a delight and are willing to go out of their way to help. The views at night from the hot tub are truly romantic and amazing. We would definitely recommend this to others and can't wait to go again in May."
