Pack your bucket and spade for a seaside getaway at the wonderful Lighthouse View Beach Chalet, which boasts direct access to gorgeous Gwithian beach.

This beachside beauty offers a stylish yet cosy escape beside stunning Gwithian Towans, Cornwall's popular sandy stretch which is oft-dubbed the best beach in England. And, as the name suggests, you can also look forward to unbeatable views of the iconic Godrevy Lighthouse.

Lighthouse View is perfectly proportioned - large enough to sleep a family of four, yet cosy enough for a couple to enjoy a romantic retreat to the North Cornwall coast. This traditional, chalet-style beach house has been newly renovated, providing guests with a perfectly welcoming and utterly charming home-from-home.

Clean white walls throughout are punctuated with gorgeous accents of colour, from the cheery cushions in the living area to red, white and blue bunting in the twin bedroom. A seaside theme in the dining area evokes a sense of retro holidays on the shore, while beautiful natural light floods each room - in all creating an air of peace and tranquillity throughout this stunning chalet.

Relax in the living room, where the inviting grey sofa, armchair and large wicker bucket chair provide enough room for everyone to curl up in front of the flat-screen TV and DVD player. Or, select from the range of books and games provided, sure to keep everyone entertained! All the while, bask in those glorious views, where wild grass-topped dunes guide your eye to Godrevy Lighthouse, standing atop the Stones reef beyond the shoreline. Little surprise that Virginia Woolf drew inspiration for ‘To the Lighthouse' from this 85ft wonder!

The adjacent kitchen is fully equipped with high-quality appliances, including a Bosch touch-control ceramic hob, an electric oven, a dishwasher and a coffee machine. Enjoy your meals at the classic farmhouse dining table for four, where you're treated yet again to those stunning views of St Ives Bay.

Both bedrooms continue the air of contemporary tranquillity for a perfect night's sleep. The Master bedroom features a king-size bed, topped with crisp white linen and pretty pillows in muted greys and yellows. Children will love the charming twin bedroom, with its blue-and-white-striped duvets, red fleece throws for chillier nights and cheerful red-and-white gingham curtains at the window. A travel cot, bed rail and high chair are also available on request, making Lighthouse View the ideal choice if you're holidaying with very little ones.

Man's best friend is also welcome at Lighthouse View, so no family member need miss out! The fully secure, private garden provides enough space for dogs (and children!) to let off steam and enjoy that sea air. Fire up the Weber BBQ for a feast to be enjoyed at the outdoor dining table, catch a few rays in the Adirondack chairs, and take a look in the storage shed for equipment to get you started on the beach.

Speaking of which, it couldn't be easier to get to the white sands of Gwithian. A 100-metre trail takes you directly from Lighthouse View to this popular beach, which is lifeguarded in the summer. If you're visiting in winter, enjoy a blustery walk or two as you listen to the sound of the winds and waves, all the while taking in that awe-inspiring scenery. Throughout the year, you may also be lucky enough to spot seals, dolphins and the many seabirds that make this stunning spot of Cornwall their home.

In all, Lighthouse View offers a little haven of loveliness to make the most of this stunning stretch of the Cornwall coast. Sand dunes, blue skies and a gorgeous home to enjoy it all's pretty darn perfect, isn't it?
