Laurel Park Campsite Railway Wagons

Lovingly-restored family havens on a slice of digital-free paradise in rural Lincolnshire, complete with a host of friendly animals and a relaxing yoga barn.

Naturally serene and sumptuous, Laurel Park Campsite is a digital-free hideaway that's nestled along a tranquil country lane in south-east Lincolnshire.

Surrounded by a wall of whispering Leylandii trees, here you'll discover cosy accommodation, generous facilities... and a welcoming committee that consists not only of friendly owners Andy and Emma, but their host of well-loved animals!

The cosy accommodation comprises two vintage railway goods wagons named Maribelle and Clarence, both painstakingly restored to begin new lives as luxurious glamping pods.

Over 100 years old, Maribelle and Clarence were rescued from a field, after having been abandoned there for the best part of 50 years. Not that you'll be able to tell any of this once you've stepped on board.

Preserving as many original features as they possibly could, Andy and Emma have seen to it that you'll be provided with plenty of comfort. There's a kingsize double day bed to snuggle up in, and two standard single bunks that are ideal for the kids.

Along with electric and USB sockets, you'll also have soft fairy lights to give your evenings a glow, and a stove heater to keep everyone toasty. There's also a kitchen area with gas hob and utensils, so you can pack perfectly light for your break.  

Meanwhile, outside awaits a scenic seating area that's ideal for morning coffee and evening suppers alike, gainfully equipped with a picnic bench, a table, and a firepit. Just add marshmallows for epic storytelling sessions under the stars!

After a sound night's sleep amongst the country air, how about starting your day with a spot of yoga? The luxurious on-site Yoga Barn offers regular classes, workshops and retreats in a variety of styles.

You could also watch the local wildlife, or get to know the resident animals, whether that's collecting fresh eggs from the chickens, taking the miniature donkeys and Pygmy goats for a walk, or simply offering strokes and cuddles! There are ducks, rabbits, guinea pigs, dogs and cats on site, all waiting to meet you.

Feel like exploring further afield? You're perfectly placed for a visit to The Wash Coastal Nature Reserve, and iconic attractions that include Sandringham Palace. If you've brought your bikes you could even take the National Cycle Network's scenic, long-distance Route 1, which connects Dover and the Shetland Islands.

But if all that feels like a little too much effort, you're more than welcome to grab a few tasty treats from the on-site shop, then kick back in the communal lounge. Here you can play pool, tinkle the ivories, get lost in a good book... or simply while away your well-deserved holiday time chatting with new friends and loved ones.

Things to note

The campsite is Wi-Fi free, though 4G connectivity is generally good. One and three-day yoga retreats can be booked, check with the owners for dates and terms.
