Kaya Lodge
England / Stonham Aspal, Suffolk
Full description
Luxury camping in a canvas safari lodge in the rural heart of Suffolk - with a hint of the windswept African wilderness!
Found on tranquil Lewis Farm, Suffolk, Kaya Lodge is the perfect place to make your escape from all the stresses of life back home. As soon as you arrive in the beautiful meadow, gaze across glorious countryside and take a reviving breath of fresh air, you'll feel immediately relaxed.
Your accommodation is Twiga (Swahili for "giraffe"), a sumptuously furnished canvas lodge styled with authentic African touches, for a uniquely glamorous taste of the Serengeti, Suffolk-style!
Sleeping up to six guests, Twiga is ideal for family or group catch-ups, reconnecting with your favourite people amongst the very best setting nature has to offer, with no TV or WiFi to distract you.
From the moment you step inside, you'll notice the thorough attention to detail throughout - and you may not believe that camping could actually get this luxurious!
After all, not that many tents boast large, cosy beds dressed in Egyptian cotton and plump pillows - or how about freshening up in the spacious shower room? There'll be no need to worry about those midnight loo queues that are so typical of campsites, as you'll find a separate flushing toilet here too.
Claim your favourite bedroom, whip up a snack in the fully-equipped kitchen, then relax on the squishy sofa and plan your holiday with a well-deserved drink! You'll find plenty of space to stretch out and relax in the living area...and for the more competitive types in your group, board games have been thoughtfully supplied, along with a handy selection of books.
Twiga is fully equipped with hot and cold running water, electric lighting and softly-glowing LED candles - just in case you find the twinkling starlight isn't quite enough to illuminate your evenings! Drink in the golden sunset from the comfort of your cosy outdoor seating, barbecue sizzling in the background, and revel in all the beauty of the natural world for a while.
After a sound night's sleep and a hearty breakfast, it's time to get out and explore the local area. You'll find Kaya Lodge is perfectly positioned for you to enjoy the delights of Suffolk, with many diverse attractions reached within just an hour's drive (local Debenham is ideal for stocking up on those much-needed supplies).
Suffolk Owl Sanctuary and Baylham Rare Breeds Farm will delight lovers of wildlife, while the nearby Leisure Park offers enough activity and adventure to tire out the most energetic of children (big kids included!) Meanwhile, the traditional market towns of Framlingham and Woodbridge are ideal for picturesque strolls - and budding artists will enjoy rambling through Constable country, too.
Enjoy endlessly exhilarating days out, then head back to your luxury lodge to enjoy yet another evening of fun and socialising. Count the stars as they appear in the night sky as you imagine you're holidaying on the exotic plains of Africa...and then, simply relax!
