Full description
A TV-featured, adults-only shepherd's hut that's fit for royalty, dog-friendly and beautifully positioned to explore the Welsh coastline in all its magnificent glory.

Joan, Lady of Wales is no ordinary shepherd's hut.

First, the exquisite, adults-only retreat was featured on the BBC show ‘Interior Design Masters'. Second, these are truly surroundings fit for royalty, both inside and out.

Not only is Joan named after the wife of Llywelyn the Great - once the effective ruler of all of Wales - but the views of your kingdom stretch out towards a magical collection of hills on the Llyn Peninsula.

Rich in luxurious detail (to the point where you won't be able to resist updating your Instagram feed constantly!) the thoughtfully-styled, dog-friendly retreat boasts sumptuous, soft-toned décor and a plethora of high-end accessories.

The kitchen area boasts wooden countertops, and all the gleaming appliances you'll need for rustling up romantic suppers to enjoy at the dining table - positioned right by a scenery-showcasing window.

Simply fire up the wood-burner to feel ridiculously snuggly on colder days, while when the sun's out, you can pop open a bottle of bubbles and relax al fresco, with comfy seating overlooking the shimmering private lake.

(The ever-changing rural scenery really is amazing here... if you visit in spring, you may even be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of new-born lambs frolicking in the meadow!)

When it's finally time for some well-deserved shut-eye, there's a downy double bed to curl up in. There'll be no awkward midnight dashes for the facilities, either, since you'll also have a modern en-suite on hand.

Complete with a flushing toilet and a walk-in shower, freshening-up will be a pleasure, particularly when accompanied by a complimentary set of handmade organic goats' milk toiletries.

All you've got to do now is decide where you're going to explore first! The charming seaside town of Pwllheli is close by, while the sheltered, picturesque beach at Abersoch is perfect for bathing and watersports of all descriptions.

If you've brought your small, well-behaved dog with you, you'll love exercising feet and paws along the breath-taking Ll?n Peninsula... or how about Snowdonia National Park for invigorating adventure and awe-inspiring views that stretch all the way to Ireland?

History-buffs, meanwhile, will enjoy a visit to Criccieth Castle, atmospherically located between two beaches. Dating all the way back to the 13th century, the castle was  originally built by Llywelyn the Great himself.

Immerse yourselves in the unique charms of this amazing part of the world, before firing up the mini Bluetooth speaker, pouring a glass of wine, and getting lost in another perfect golden sunset.
