A unique blend of contemporary design and traditional Norfolk architecture awaits in a uniquely renovated mill keeper's cottage.
  • Sleeps: 8
  • Bedrooms: 5
  • Bathrooms: 2
  • Minimum stay: 2 nights

The innovative renovation and extension of this former mill keeper’s cottage was shortlisted for 2009’s Structural Awards, as well as gaining notable recognition as a sustainable building project.  So it goes to follow that a stay in this extraordinary cottage, set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and accessed from a private road, will be pretty extraordinary in itself, and it is even featuring on the current series of Extraordinary Escapes on Channel 4, with Sandi Toksvig!

The cottage sleeps up to eight people in four bedrooms, and as soon as you arrive, you’ll discover that its welcoming design allows plenty of the natureful outside, inside!  Enormous windows and galleried landings invoke a luxurious sense of space and light, while comfortable furnishings will make you feel immediately at home.

You’ll find everything you need for a relaxing and visually indulgent stay here, from a contemporary kitchen that features a wall of windows, to a master bedroom that looks out over the rushing River Ant.  Meanwhile, a family bathroom and an all-marble shower room provide plenty of opulence.

There are beautiful gardens all around for you to while away time in, with a boardwalk that leads to the river making for a stunning al fresco setting for evening drinks.  By day, get exploring the surrounding water meadow and the particularly breathtaking part of Norfolk you happen to be holidaying in – while you thank your lucky stars you chose it!
