Gwelva Hills Eco Lodges
England / Bude, Cornwall
Full description
Luxurious, welcoming retreats with wildflower rooftops and coastal views across Bude, set on a friendly farm holiday park.
Set on a green Cornish hillside, amongst 100 acres of gently rolling farmland, and with gorgeous views across the shimmering North Cornwall coast, you'll find Wooda Farm Holiday Park bursting with family and dog-friendly facilities...
...which means not only that everybody's welcome, but there's plenty of scope for fun, relaxation, and fresh-air adventure!
Better still, you get to rest your heads in a luxurious selection of eco-lodges, complete with their own separate entrance from the main park, and nestled in perfect scenery-showcasing positions. Three of the lodges are dog friendly, too.
With their wildflower-strewn roofs, light oak cladding, and dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows, each lodge is a magical treat for the senses... even before you've stepped inside.
Once you do, you'll marvel at the way your surroundings blend effortlessly into the land-and-seascapes outside, with soft-toned, coastal-inspired décor. The living, dining and kitchen area is stylish, spacious, and open plan, with plenty of natural light from those huge windows.
Retire to the sofas for a laughter-filled catch-up chat, or head out to your decking instead, with its comfy woven furniture, and a barbecue for sizzling sunset suppers. With a warming log-burner waiting for you back indoors, it won't matter how chilly the star-filled evening starts to get!
Each lodge boasts two or three bedrooms; one kingsize master room, and either one or two twin rooms (one can be made into a superking if needed). There'll be no awkward bathroom queues either, as each bedroom comes with its own luxurious en-suite, with underfloor heating and toasty heated towel rails.
What else? Well, these lodges are all about the detail, so you'll also find a handy washing machine-and-dryer-equipped utility room that's perfect for storing all that beach and outdoor gear (well, you are holidaying on the Cornish coast!)
There's also plenty of space for parking, while back inside, you'll note that every last holiday comfort is catered for, from Wi-Fi and a Smart TV in every bedroom, to a gleaming procession of high-end kitchen appliances.
From Easter to October, you can also take advantage of the holiday park's on-site facilities. Enjoy a tempting fish-and-chip supper from The Lodge Takeaway, take the kids on a tractor ride, relax with some yoga, stock up on essentials at the Farm Shop, or indulge in a cocktail or two at The Loft Bar, set in the eaves of an old barn.
If you're holidaying out of season, you'll still get to enjoy the tennis court, a woodland walking trail (with designated dog showers if it gets a little muddy!), and a pitch-n-putt golf course.
In fact, there's so much to immerse yourselves in at Gwelva Hills, that one visit may not be enough!
Things to note
There is a small extra charge per night if you are bringing your dog (one large or two small dogs are permitted). Please note that the second-row lodges have a slightly obstructed view. Some of the holiday park's facilities are seasonal.
