If you could imagine the perfect setting for a romantic treehouse, you’d probably picture Perthshire’s beautiful Glenshee, magnificently surrounded by mountains, forests and heather-strewn moorland dotted with wildlife.

Located on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park, you’ll find two octagonal, architect-designed treehouses on a dedicated Glenshee holiday site, just twenty minutes’ drive from the region’s renowned Ski Centre.

Each self-contained treehouse-for-two is blissfully secluded on a hillside, with those amazing panoramic mountain views all yours to enjoy (they get even better when viewed from your private hot tub, glass of bubbles in hand!)

The Silver Birch Treehouse is the newest addition, accessed by a tree-lined track illuminated with soft fairy lights. Cross the bridge, and feel immediately as though you’ve booked yourselves into a grand hotel suite, filled with all the luxuries you could ever want.

The huge, open-plan interior is immediately welcoming, featuring a warming woodburning stove, an opulently-furnished lounge area with TV, and a fully-equipped kitchen and dining space. 180-degree floor-to-ceiling windows allow light to flood inside by day, and act as a magnificent canvas for sunset-watching and stargazing later on.

The bubble-wall bathroom comes equipped with a free-standing bath, dual washbasins and a walk-in rainfall shower, with strategically-placed windows that ensure you won’t miss out on enjoying those views! When it’s time to turn in, the downy superking bed, set under a glass pyramid roof light, all but guarantees a sound night’s sleep.

The Scots Pine Treehouse is very similar in style and layout, discovered through a ‘secret’ archway amongst the whispering trees. Both treehouses also feature furnished wraparound decking, from which you can access your very own scenery-showcasing hot tub.

What the guests of Glenshee Treehouses say

“The Treehouse is like a penthouse suite, but more personal, cosy & with views that are simply sensational. Our stay here was wonderful – watching the weather-scape roll past the windows, while enjoying delightful comfort was very relaxing. I don’t think there can be many hot-tubs where you can watch sparrow hawks hovering and diving, and flocks of birds flying overhead – it was a very magical experience.  Fantastic to have such a well-equipped kitchen – greatly appreciated. All the attention to detail Sue & Philip have put into the Treehouse has created somewhere very special. Thank you!”

“This place… there are no words! We were lost for words when we came through the door, the high ceilings, the fireplace, the views were breath-taking, especially more so from the hot-tub, even at night. We were lucky enough to see a shooting star! And the bathroom – oh my, if I only had this at home! Thanks for such a wonderful experience here at the treehouse! Definitely be back – already hinted to my partner for a special occasion, or ‘just because!'”

“We chose your treehouse for a relaxing few days away and it certainly didn’t disappoint! From the moment we walked through the front door we were amazed, everything is just perfect. The views while sitting in the hot-tub on a winters afternoon in the snow are just magical. We will definitely be back next year!”
