Glenshee Treehouses
Scotland / Glenshee, Perthshire
Two sumptuous, architect-designed treehouses secluded on the edge of Scotland's stunning Cairngorms National Park.
If you could imagine the perfect setting for a romantic treehouse, you'd probably picture Perthshire's beautiful Glenshee, magnificently surrounded by mountains, forests and heather-strewn moorland dotted with wildlife.
Located on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park, you'll find two octagonal, architect-designed treehouses on a dedicated Glenshee holiday site, just twenty minutes' drive from the region's renowned Ski Centre.
Each self-contained treehouse-for-two is blissfully secluded on a hillside, with those amazing panoramic mountain views all yours to enjoy (they get even better when viewed from your private hot tub, glass of bubbles in hand!)
The Silver Birch Treehouse is the newest addition, accessed by a tree-lined track illuminated with soft fairy lights. Cross the bridge, and feel immediately as though you've booked yourselves into a grand hotel suite, filled with all the luxuries you could ever want.
The huge, open-plan interior is immediately welcoming, featuring a warming woodburning stove, an opulently-furnished lounge area with TV, and a fully-equipped kitchen and dining space. 180-degree floor-to-ceiling windows allow light to flood inside by day, and act as a magnificent canvas for sunset-watching and stargazing later on.
The bubble-wall bathroom comes equipped with a free-standing bath, dual washbasins and a walk-in rainfall shower, with strategically-placed windows that ensure you won't miss out on enjoying those views! When it's time to turn in, the downy superking bed, set under a glass pyramid roof light, all but guarantees a sound night's sleep.
The Scots Pine Treehouse is very similar in style and layout, discovered through a ‘secret' archway amongst the whispering trees. Both treehouses also feature furnished wraparound decking, from which you can access your very own scenery-showcasing hot tub.
While you couldn't be blamed for wanting to hole yourselves up in treetop luxury all holiday long, you're in the perfect position to explore one of the most naturally beautiful regions of Scotland, so why miss out?
Not only is the Cairngorms National Park within achingly easy reach, you'll find plenty of other unique countryside locations close by, including Royal Deeside, with Balmoral Castle at its heart, Pitlochry, Blair Atholl and Highland Perthshire, amongst many others.
It probably goes without saying that Glenshee is the ideal setting for skiers and snowboarders, home to the largest snowsports area in Britain. Walking, cycling, fishing, and of course golf, are all wonderful activities to immerse yourselves in during your stay.
If you're looking for a friendly pitstop along the way, the nearby Wee House of Glenshee Tearoom is run by your friendly treehouse owners, and features delicious home-baked cakes and a crackling log burner (be warned: you may decide to stay there all day!)
Your secluded treehouse will be waiting for you after a long day out, and what better way to greet that golden sunset than with a relaxing dip in the hot tub? Whatever your pleasure, indulge to your hearts' content...this is luxury outdoor living as you've never experienced it before.
