Full description
Hide away in a cosy wooden den in the midst of nature, surrounded by protected animals at an award-winning Kent reserve.

Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve, found in Hythe on Kent's south coast, is a treasure trove of nature that wouldn't look out of place on the windswept plains of Africa.

Home to over 90 different rare and endangered species of over 700 animals, you can take an authentic safari ride through the 600-acre park and see gorillas, bears, tigers, cheetah, primates and Kent's only Rothschild giraffe, amongst many others. The animals always come first here, and it shows - Port Lympne is a far cry from a conventional zoo environment.

Not only that, you can stroll through landscaped gardens, visit the enthralling Dinosaur Forest - complete with life-size prehistoric creatures - and admire panoramic views from the Trojan Steps.

Now you can rest your heads in the midst of this amazing environment too with a stay at Forest Hideaway, in one of three snug wooden dens set amongst towering pine trees.

Sleeping up to two adults and two small children, your hut is positioned close to the Amur tiger habitat. You'll be surrounded by the fresh sights, sounds and smells of nature - the ultimate escape from stale everyday life!

There are plenty of luxuries inside your Forest Den, including heating and a log burner for those chillier evenings, a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, and an ensuite shower room with complimentary products.

You'll also find a Smart TV, though we doubt you'll be needing it very much when your stay includes your very own golf buggy, which you can use to tour Port Lympne Reserve to your hearts' content. You'll even have access to exclusive areas of the reserve before and after standard visiting hours.
You'll also have use of Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve's generous facilities, including the Treehouse Club House, Bear Lodge Clubhouse, Pinewood Café and Babydoll's Wood Fired Pizza, alongside access to the four star hotel and it's restaurant, bar and unique Moroccan Courtyard.

There's plenty of activites to get yourselves involved in too, with a vast selection of animal, safari, dining and outdoor experiences to sample.

A 30-minute animal encounter takes budding keepers behind the scenes of caring for some of the world's most endangered species, while a wildlife photography course ensures you'll have plenty of professional pictures to show your friends when you return home! If indulgence is more your thing, how about booking afternoon tea in Port Lympne Hotel's Moroccan courtyard?

So, if you've always fancied taking yourselves off on safari, but didn't fancy the long plane journey to Africa or Asia, make your next stop the Forest Hideaway at Port Lympne...and make all those natureful dreams come true.
