… all the while soaking up the charming ambience of the Adele Marie – your unforgettable home on the canal!

Whether you’re looking for a romantic break with that very special someone or a treasured family holiday everyone will love, Floating Dreams will not disappoint. Everything is taken in hand, from all you need for a comfy stay to expert instruction to keep you confident on those canals – leaving you free to enjoy your holiday.

You’ll begin your journey at Cheshire’s Nantwich Marina on the famous Shropshire Union Canal. Here you’ll be treated to a friendly ‘Meet and Greet’, where a representative from Floating Dreams will take you through all you need to know about the Adele Marie and your journey ahead in an unhurried, ‘ask anything’ way – from advising on routes to recommending excellent food-and-drink stops.

Afterwards, all that’s left for you to do is reel in that mooring line and start the engine running! From Nantwich, you’re presented with a variety of wonderful destinations, including bustling Chester, desirable Middlewich, and picturesque Llangollen. Staffordshire, Cheshire, Lancashire, Denbighshire – they’re all in easy distance and just waiting to be discovered.

Regardless of where you’re headed, the best part is undoubtedly the journey! You’ll pass through countless towns and villages, each oozing unique character. Keep a keen eye for the variety of wildlife you’ll encounter on your way, both on the banks and the water itself, or take a closer look with a walk along the towpath. And if you’re headed east on the Llangollen Canal (legend has it, a favourite of Harrison Ford himself!), don’t miss the chance to pass over the famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, with its stunning views in every direction.

And, as if it couldn’t get any better, you have the wonderful Adele Marie to enjoy, where you’ll feel instantly at home. Sleeping up to five people, this maritime-blue, 58ft narrowboat offers more than enough space for everyone to relax in each other’s company, all the while providing a cosy bolthole from the elements.

Step through her double doors to the light and airy interior, perfectly organised with all you need for your stay. In the galley, you’ll find the kitchen, complete with a gas oven and hob, fridge-freezer, utensils and plenty of storage for all your food. Floating Dreams will even provide a handy welcome pack including washing-up liquid and tea towels, so you needn’t worry about bringing those little necessities. Bread and milk can be pre-ordered, while guests can look forward to a few extra surprises along the way!

What the guests of Floating Dreams say

“A fantastic boat hired to us by really great people, we were confident
of support if required and the training/handover was excellent. The
Llangollen Canal has a lot to offer, with both the fabulous wildlife and
that chap Telford knew a thing or two! The aqueducts and tunnels did
not disappoint. We had just the most relaxed and wonderful time.”

“Narrow boats are a holiday in themselves. There is always lots to do on
the boat with piloting, mooring, locks and pubs. It is a great way to
spend a holiday in the outdoors but still with plenty of luxury. Adele
Marie had all that you would want. Excellent galley, shower and toilet,
comfortable beds, television and central heating as well as the chance
to see the countryside at a slow pace and lots of interesting stuff on
the way.”

“Our welcome from the owners was genuine and included a welcome pack
with homemade scones and clotted cream! The narrowboat was extremely
well fitted out, comfy beds, good-quality sheets and towels, excellent
bathroom and kitchen equipment. Technically the
boat worked without a hitch.”
