Full description
Breathe easy and enjoy life, from the comfort of a natural and self-sufficient earth dome break in the Spanish countryside.

Serenely located on two acres of country land, set within the foothills of the invigorating Sierra de Gredos, it's hard to believe that Finca La Tierra is a mere hour away from bustling Madrid.

Here you'll discover a community-led, soul-enriching haven surrounded by sweet-scented fruit trees. The natural life reigns supreme here, and it's almost guaranteed to leave you feeling calm, relaxed and refreshed from the moment you arrive.

Finca La Tierra is the brainchild of owners Sam and Mari, both passionate about sustainability and low-impact life. The finca itself consists of four lovingly hand-crafted and interconnected superadobe earth domes, constructed with the help of friends and volunteers. Designed to be naturally cool in summer and warm in winter, power and water are efficiently provided by solar panels and fresh water wells.

Inside the simply furnished domes, you'll find a well-equipped kitchen, a cosy lounge, a bathroom and comfortable bedrooms that sleep up to seven guests in total.

Outside, the site is complete with an organic vegetable patch and a cluster of friendly chickens. There's an outdoor wood-fired clay oven (pizza and fresh-baked bread have never tasted better!) and a natural swimming pool that's ideal for lazy afternoon laps.

Help yourselves to as much fruit and veg as you like, and then settle in with a good book - there's nothing left to do except enjoy life in the sustainable slow lane for a while!

Of course, you just might prefer to feast your eyes upon those incredible views of the Sierra de Gredos mountain range - perfect for stirring some natural creativity. Immerse yourselves by taking a stroll through the surrounding oak forest, or venture out further to discover sparkling lakes and waterfalls.

Meanwhile, a ten-minute wander will lead you into the charming village of Fresnedilla, where you'll find many friendly residents - and a bar! If you prefer a drive, the thriving market town of Sotillo de la Adrada is close by, steeped in traditional Spanish culture.

But for now, simply breathe easy, taking in all the beauty of the unique sights, sounds and smells of nature as it unfolds around you. This is paradise in its purest possible form, and it's all yours to enjoy.
