Full description
Enjoy epic family adventures and make (pre)historic memories, aboard a cosily converted American school bus that's primed for back-to-nature escapes.

The idea behind Dinobus Glamping is to wrench families clean away from their mobile phones, video games, and TV screens... and transport them into the real-world fun and adventure of the Great Outdoors!

That's why their cheerful troupe of American buses are frequently touring the land, forever in search of new and exciting stops from which you can immerse yourselves in the natural world at its most beautifully unspoilt.

The latest wild-and-wonderful location, Osea Island, has been especially chosen for Spring 2021, between 12th April 2021 and 24th May 2021 only. Situated in the estuary of the River Blackwater in Essex, you can only reach the enchanting island via an ancient Roman causeway, which is revealed at low tide as if by magic...

...so even before you discover your bus, you'll feel as though you're travelling blissfully back in time.

And what of the bus itself, you may ask? Sleeping 4-5 people, the ambience on board is very much Alpine ski-holiday chic. There's plenty of soft leather, reclaimed wooden panelling, and colourful, cosy throws, for a relaxing effect that's "imbued with all the romance and adventure of a bygone era," according to one recent review.

However, if you thought classic style would mean compromising on modern comfort, you'd be very much mistaken.

There are four cosy beds to choose from (depending on the bus, either four bunks, or a double and two singles, to be confirmed on booking) all furnished with mattresses that are so comfortable, we challenge even the earliest of risers to resist the lure of the lazy lie-in!

Once you manage to get out of bed, simply head for the on-board coffee bar, and relax in your cosy, light-filled living room. Designed for sociable chatter that's fuelled with laughter, you could even indulge in some old-school family games, such as ‘I-Spy' through the huge windows... though with a games table and soft archery targets provided, you'll be spoilt for choice of entertainment.

(You'll find the driver's seat joyfully intact, too, though don't worry - the secure wheel lock means the kids won't be able to take everybody off on an unplanned excursion!)

Activity-wise, you'll have plenty of wide-open space to run wild and free in, and there's also the possibility of getting involved in a bespoke Roarsome Activity programme, to help you get up close and personal with the local area in the most exciting ways possible!

So, if you're decidedly wild at heart, it's time to let loose with Dinobus Glamping Essex... a timeless way to make fresh-air-filled family memories.
