Dezanove House
Spain / A Pobra do Caramiñal, Galicia
Full description
An award-winning, architect-designed luxury villa secluded by a stunning beach, far away from the Spanish tourist crowds.
A stay at the luxurious, lovingly-designed Dezanove House invites you to think about the traditional Spanish beach holiday in a completely different way.
Be warned though, because once you've discovered all the secrets this privately-situated villa holds, you'll want to keep them all to yourself!
The first is its breathtaking location, the little-known coastal region of Galicia in north-west Spain. Untouched by tourist crowds and full of warmly welcoming locals, here you can relax and enjoy Spain at its captivating and authentic best. There's a quiet, clear-water beach just two steps away, with plenty of bustling markets to visit nearby.
Created from reclaimed eucalyptus wood by the owner, a Galician architect, the design for the villa was inspired by the local "bateas" (rafts) used for collecting mussels. Blending beautifully with its coastal surroundings, parts of the house have the appearance of floating gently on the horizon. Meanwhile, natural light floods inside, through fifteen metres of panelled glass that faces the sea.
The villa is cleverly energy-efficient too, with purified air organically filtered by the botanist-created patio garden.
Sleeping up to eight people, there is plenty of space for you and your favourite people to catch up on life, surrounded by luxurious comfort and fine attention to detail. The large oak kitchen was designed to be a friendly social hub, with a stainless steel isle, high-end appliances and a sociable breakfast table.
The wood-clad living and dining space boasts an expansive sea-and-garden view, as you relax on designer furniture. The bespoke-designed Corten steel fireplace is a sumptuous centrepiece, while a large dining table sits up to twelve people.
The top floor master bedroom comes equipped with a super kingsize bed, and an ensuite that features a float therapy bathtub and a rainfall shower with a sea view! You'll find a second super king ensuite bedroom on this floor, and a further two kingsize bedrooms on the ground floor.
Enjoy the contents of your welcome basket, equipped with the owners' favourite Galician products, as you plan all the wonderful things you're going to do with your time here. The villa is located mere minutes from a sailing and a diving school, perfect for water babies.
There are plenty of activities on offer nearby, from visiting the spectacular natural grottoes of the Pedras river, to hiking, canyoning and taking a boat trip to the nature reserves of the Cíes islands.
The friendly Galician owners are only too happy to offer suggestions to suit your tastes, and with a Michelin-starred chef and a yacht master on hand too, you can tailor your stay to be as indulgent as you like!
So if you're ready to experience a completely different side of Spain, simply get your favourite people together and chart your course to Dezanove House.
Things to note
Option add ons include catering and chef with Michelin star restaurants, yacht, taxi service, two golf club sets, extra maid service, daily food shopping and babysitter, 24h CCTV security system.
