Located just over an hour away from the bustling cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow, you’ll find Comrie Croft, a natureful Crieff haven packed full of everything you need for an environmentally friendly, pure air-filled getaway that offers something for absolutely everyone, from cosy relaxation to thrilling adventure!

The emphasis at Comrie Croft is set firmly upon care and sustainability of the local environment, an award-winning philosophy that ensures guests can take full advantage of the authentic smells and sounds of nature, enjoy spotting thriving local wildlife and relax in a naturally soothing – not to mention stunning – woodland backdrop.

For those looking to try a wild camping experience with an added touch of unique style, you’ll find a stay in Comrie Croft’s very own handmade tipi-style Nordic kata tents will surely convert you for life!

Each kata measures 6 metres in diameter and features a cosy woodburning stove at its centre. You’ll find them perfectly positioned in beautifully tranquil open birch woodland that allows you to get up close to nature in all its bountiful beauty. Just imagine falling asleep to the soft calls of owls and deer, with gentle raindrops pattering onto the canvas as you snuggle under sheets.  In the morning, awaken to sun streaming all around, as you make up a steaming mug of coffee and take in the delightful aroma of wild flowers from the outdoor kitchen and covered deck area.

Each kata sleeps up to six people, and they make a lovely and roomy holiday dwelling for couples. Families will especially love Kata 5, uniquely located next to the low meadow and nearest to the onsite facilities, with its own private boardwalk and ensuite toilet.

Cosily equipped with fabrics, lovingly homemade furniture that includes an Alpine-style bed, and plenty of soft cushions, you’ll discover a real home from home in your kata tent…and there’s even a hammock included if you’d prefer to snooze among the stars. Sing campfire songs around the firepit as you toast marshmallows to your heart’s content – the perfect way to end an adventure-filled day.

The katas also have their own en-suite outhouse with toilet, whilst you can find hot showers and kitchen facilities, including a microwave and several handy charging points, down near the reception.
