Perfectly located within almost 300 acres of unspoilt Oxfordshire woodland, the writer CS Lewis’s house and garden is your closest neighbour. Immerse yourselves in the captivating woods that inspired the creation of Narnia, simply by jumping through the magical Narnia wardrobe and onto your private treetop zipwire!

Blending beautifully into its natural surroundings, the treehouse itself is reminiscent of a wooden castle, expertly crafted from timber and featuring majestic turrets, expansive arched windows complete with view-capturing benches, grand vaulted ceilings and private outdoor pavilions.

Meanwhile, the spacious studio-style interior is your personal backdrop for unforgettable holiday dining, sleeping and relaxing.  There’s a well-equipped handcrafted kitchen, a generous bathroom, and two irresistibly cosy bedroom nooks. One is equipped with a downy kingsize bed, while the kids will adore the mezzanine nook, accessed via steep wooden stairs and equipped with two floor mattresses. There are also two single sofa beds for extra guests.

Of course, you’ll find plenty of storybook touches dotted throughout, including wildlife sculptures, colourful patchwork quilts, and of course, that wondrous Narnia wardrobe!

Relax with a drink and your favourite book, or if you prefer exerting some energy, why not create your very own adventures in the forest? Cross the swinging rope bridge and head off into the trees, or challenge a loved one to a game of tennis on the shared court. After a hearty barbecued lunch, cool off with an energising dip in the indoor pool.

While it’s tempting to stay put in this special slice of fairytale heaven, the city delights of Oxford are a mere 15 minute bike-ride away. With cycles available to hire, there’s simply no excuse not to explore those ancient cobbled streets. Try your hand at punting on the river – an absolute Oxford must – and you can even treat yourselves to a chauffeured punt if you’re in a lazy mood!
