Carpe Diem Houseboat
Enjoy incredible views as you glide along Australia's longest river, from the comfort of a luxurious two-storey boat.
If you're tired of boring old hotel stays on dry land, it's time to seize the Aussie day!
You'll find the TV-featured Carpe Diem Houseboat waiting for you at Kia Marina, beautifully positioned for up to ten guests to experience Australia's magnificent Murray River in all its cultural, historic and jaw-droppingly picturesque glory.
As long as you've got a valid driving licence, all you'll need is a cruising lesson on arrival...and then you're quite literally away.
More of a floating luxury suite than a boat, you'll find three comfy queen bedrooms on board, along with soft leather seating, a glass-surrounded kitchen that's styled for foodies, and a barbecue on the rear deck...because you won't want to waste those awe-inspiring views by dining inside all the time!
When you're not drinking in the scenery, relax in front of the enormous LED TV - with an extensive DVD library to suit all tastes - or chill out to your favourite tunes. Clever fusion zoned music means you won't have to disturb anyone else on the boat (if you don't want to!)
The boat features dual driving helms, an electric gangplank and a gorgeous sunbathing and swimming deck complete with ladder, for anyone who fancies an energising morning dip or a lazy afternoon nap.
Starting with the spectacular Bow Hill cliffs, your river journey is guaranteed to be filled with visual treats and scenic surprises. Australia's longest and proudest river, the Murray spans three states, winding its way through the Alps, brushing the desert, and meandering through the outback region.
Feast your eyes upon unique Australian landscapes, including limestone cliff faces, invigorating mountain ranges, and river gum forests. Stop off at one of the many charming towns you'll pass along the way, or learn more about the area at the Mannum Dock Museum of River History.
There's plenty of nature to enjoy too, with rich wetland areas attracting diverse birdlife. Why not introduce yourselves to the local pelicans, with a visit to the Herman Gass bird sanctuary in Mannum?
Whatever your water-based pleasure, you can indulge it on the Murray - whether that's fishing, kayaking along a tranquil creek, or arranging an invigorating waterskiing or wakeboarding experience.
Watch the golden sunset glinting over the river at the end of yet another action-packed day, equipped with a well-deserved glass of wine and surrounded by your favourite people. Can a sailor's life possibly get any better?
