An original crop barn, converted into a fairytale-like retreat for two in a South Austrian village that's surrounded by lush countryside.
You'll discover the two-storey Troadkasten (‘granary hut') on a green hill, set amongst flourishing countryside in a tiny South Austrian village... to which the drive alone will make you feel part of a magical fairy story!
The perfect starting point for exploring the fascinating Alpe-Adria region, you'll find plenty of winding walking and hiking routes close by.
There's just one catch: you'll have to leave your retreat first. Decorated in traditional Alpine rustic style, the ground floor features a cosy lounge area, whilst upstairs awaits a comfy double bed.
There's a shower room to freshen up in, while the on-site restaurant is the perfect place for mouth-watering local and regional dishes.
In the meantime, simply relax and enjoy sweeping mountain views over the river Drau... perhaps equipped with a local tipple or two.
(You may find that walk will have to wait a little while longer!)
