Full description
A gorgeous five-storey Gothic folly to make you feel like kings and queens of the castle, nestled in the rural heart of Snowdonia National Park.

Slow-melting golden sunsets and soothing, sheep-dotted rural views are a given at Brynkir Tower, a five-storey Gothic haven stunningly located in the tranquil heart of Snowdonia National Park.

Sleeping up to four guests and their two well-behaved dogs, the towering folly promises to make you feel like royalty, as you enter through the castle-style double doors, climb the spiral stone staircase, and survey your land from the top floor sitting room!

Along with jaw-dropping views from enormous arched windows, home style comforts include a crackling wood-burning stove, plenty of squishy seating, and a TV and DVD player to keep everybody entertained.

Whip up family-sized banquets in the charming kitchen and dining room, with its array of modern appliances that include an electric cooker, microwave, and that all-important dishwasher. Open a bottle of wine, and enjoy the fruits of your culinary labours around the comfy pine dining table, which you'll find beautifully positioned in front of a window.

When it's finally time to turn in, two elegantly dreamy bedrooms will be eagerly waiting for you; one equipped with a luxurious brass bed, and the other with downy twin beds.

Both bedrooms feature delightful ‘reading nooks', in the form of butter-soft armchairs by huge windows... perfect, if getting lost in the pages of a good book is your idea of holiday heaven!

But for true pleasure-seekers, the indulgent bathroom is just about impossible to beat. Boasting a magnificent position on the fifth floor, here you'll discover a cast-iron roll top bath with views of the rustling treetops. Fill it with scented bubbles, then lie back and let your daydreams carry you blissfully away.

Brynkir Tower doesn't feature a garden... but who needs one of those, when the natural playground of Snowdonia is so readily accessible? If you've packed your hiking boots, you could test them out by climbing the mighty Mount Snowdon itself, or give your feet a rest and take the iconic mountain train instead.

Alongside those spectacular mountain walks of the kind loved by those on two and four legs alike, you could head into the nearby chocolate-box hamlet of Garndolbenmaen (though you might find it easier to call it ‘Garn', as the locals do!), or to Porthmadog for a charming selection of coffee-and-cake stops.

If you're more a fan of the windswept coast, Criccieth is close by, too; a picture-perfect seaside resort on the Llyn Peninsula.

While away that wonderful downtime as idly or as energetically as you choose, before heading back to Brynkir Tower for a well-deserved sundowner. This is the life that befits a would-be Welsh royal, and it's your holiday duty to live it!

Things to note

There is no garden, but as this is a rural location with wandering sheep, please ensure dogs are kept on a lead outside. The stone steps inside are steep and so are unfortunately not suitable for guests with mobility issues.
